With America Out, Wily China Will Be Mideast's Next Big Economic Power

Salaam

Military power, No. Economic power, Yes. and China won't be that stupid like US throwing away trillions in wars and conflicts in the middle east and get nothing in the end.

I think at some point when you have a lot of business interests somewhere you find yourself drawn into the politics (and rarely conflicts as well) of the area to protect your business and strategic interests.

However, I do agree that wars are much more costly than the generals seem to think. The longer you avoid them the better - and once started the quicker you can get out the better.

.
So what are you doing in the middle east? You are nothing, you will never be able to get a foothold in the middle east.
China now is the biggest trading partner of the region, that means China did a lot already. If what you mean is wars and invasions, yes, I agree with you, China did nothing in the middle east.

. .
while at first the west did lose money in the mid east but they learned, in Libya they actually didn't spend anything, all their bombs were funded by Qatar & UAE & then once their companies took the oil fields they started making a prophet, I'm not saying that China should start using military force for the sake of Sinopec, I understand why China is reluctant to start taking action in the mid east, their priority now is enhancing their own technologies such as the semiconducter industry, using military force for the sake of oil companies is a big adventure, sometimes it works & sometimes it fails as the west has shown.

.
No!

Chinese don't really play the influence game well

The west are experts at the honey trap.
They lour you in with generous honey and then get you.

China does not do that, it's not in their culture to show generosity I think.
Their dealing are more a business exchange where they make sure they get the better deal.

Look at the middle east and see how many wars and conflicts either started or sponsored by US and you get a good idea of how generous they are and how sweet their "honey” is.

We are here to provide infrastructure
We are here to do business
We are here to provide much needed loans.

In summary, we are here not invading countries like you guys so used to

You are the biggest imperialist of the world, you are for the money...

You are to chicken to act like americans, if you had the chance you would worse then americans...

They are toddler by now! They don’t know that they had to bog down into the political mass to get results. Some one said before that Chinese always looked inward so that they can’t be suppapowa. So skip CCP trolls comments.

They are nothing and they now it to, they are for the money nothing more.

Most countries and people are after money and wealth in this world, we are not ashamed to admit this common human trait.

It would be good for China not to antagonize Turkey, as ME region has been traditionally Turkey’s domain.

Even today, nostalgia for Turkish rule and desire for return to it is heavy in ME and NA.

You cannot be naive enough to think that the US, which maintains its sunken global economic order with the petro-dollar parity, will really come out of it.

Let's say you're so naive.

You cannot be naive enough to think that you can change the political order of the Middle East, which has been built on it since 1880, by means of financial instruments.

This isn't Kenya. This isn't Nicaragua. (Even things are mixed up there.)

Even in Lebanon -What you see as a small country- , There is deep deep penetrations ve and a weird relationship networks that you cannot even imagine. You put your hand in Iran's pocket, but the thing you're holding is the French tap.

I understand the excitement of Chinese friends. They don't fit in their containers. Asian tiger rising again. But first you will learn the path and procedure. You have a long way to go.

Look, Chinese is only here doing business, meddling internal affairs or regime change is not her game.
