What's new

With a range of 4,500 km .. Learn about the "Sukhoi 35" fighters that Egypt bought

The only thing your impressive fuel reserve will do is a bigger fireball. After the F-35s has launched their deadly payload, they will utilize their advanced sensors and EW to completely blind the Egyptians. You will not know what is going on, until Sisi's palace is burning. Even if your Su-35 with their vastly inferior sensors, ECM and EW should detect the F-35 while they are retreating, you will run into a pack of IAF's F-15 waiting at the border to turn the rest of your air force to scrap metal.

The Israelis are superior in tactics and technology. You do not stand a chance.

1- We didn't say we have better weapons and armament than Israel, we never had better equipment compared to them, the first superpower in the world is obligated to keep the Israeli superiority in the region. The Israeli air force may come in the top 3 or 4 in the world thanks to the Americans and the west, but who cares? who ever cared before?

2- We have the best fighter jet owned by Russia till now (SU35) and the best fighter jet owned by France till now (Rafale), it isn't necessary to own everything, specially when the Americans will never give you their F-35 that easy.

3- Who told you that Egypt and Israel are supposed to fight each other?

4- We have Sukhoi, Migs, Rafales and F-16s. Israel has F-16s, F-15s and F-35s. What does your country have? does it stand a single chance against any decent air force not just Israel?

3- Who told you that Egypt and Israel are supposed to fight each other?

That was exactly my point. Egypt is not arming for Israel.

My country does have a few dozens of F-16s and soon around 30 F-35s :P

Afghanistan? They have goats, and sheep. But I think they use those for other things LMFAO. What's that old saying "Afghanistan, where the men are men and sheep are scared"? :enjoy:

Why an Afghani (that is if it really is that since you never know these days on these types of boards who's faking it etc.) has a bug up his *** about Egypt and anything and everything Egyptian this guy really really really hates! lol, it's like WTF, Afghanistan? Didn't we supply them with most of the weapons to fight the Soviets through the US and CIA? Along with Israel and Saudi Arabia footed most of the bill? Don't we send all sorts of aid to their countless refugee camps during their difficult times and still do today? Not sure where the frig this hatred comes from lol. Crazy stuff.

My bad, I thought he was just putting their flag :woot::omghaha::omghaha: Actually didn't expect it from an Afghani lol :D

If I knew, I wouldn't even waste my time and start a conversation :(

No his country doesn't have even a semblance of an air force..sadly..
So understand how Shocked he is with The EAF..

.
Of course, arming for any enemy, not a certain nation in particular.

You put an Afghan flag, but anyways, did the Americans promise your country with F-35s? :astagh:

Well, having done my service in the armed forces of the "other" country, you could say that I belong to both places. ;)

You need to let go of that mentality that everybody who dares to criticize you is jealous. It is not bringing you any good.

No..we know you are jealous..

Russia lags far behind USA and Europe in sensor technology. Even Chinese Japanese Turks and Koreans have creeped far ahead.

Sorry, but that is just about as silly of a post as can be.

@The SC , lol, there is so much information to digest in those couple of opening posts that when I made the other quote with selected portions, it wasn't even close to the amount of information that can be discussed because of the incredible information in those particular paragraphs. This one is another one that has some pretty fascinating information. When you see what is explained with the AESA radars that would work on the F-35 and Super Hornet to jam the Russian radar (in our case we'll just stick with the ERBIS-E since that's the one in our Su-35SEs and not the BARS because that is mostly what is in the Indian and other Su-30MKs so doesn't apply to us) and when and if they are successful at jamming the ERBIS-E, it leaves them open and essentially they lose the best feature in the AESA which is that super fast frequency hopping capability. It's explained pretty well in this paragraph.

Currently classified capabilities such as the use of the APG-79 or APG-81 AESA radar as an X-band high power jammer against the Russian BARS or Irbis E radar are not a panacea, and may actually hasten the demise of the F/A-18E/F or F-35 JSF in a BVR shootout. This is for the simple reason that to jam the Russian radar, the APG-79 or APG-81 AESA radar must jam the frequencies being used by the Russian radar, and this then turns the APG-79 or APG-81 AESA radar into a wholly electronically predictable X-band high power beacon for an anti-radiation seeker equipped Russian BVR missile such as the R-27EP or R-77P. The act of jamming the Russian radar effectively surrenders the frequency hopping agility in the emissions of the APG-79 or APG-81 AESA radar, denying it the only defense it has against the anti-radiation missile. A smart Russian radar software designer will include a "seduction mode" to this effect, with narrowband emissions to make it very easy even for an early model 9B-1032 anti-radiation seeker.

So every time an Su-35 is carrying an R-27EP or even the R-77P, the chances of being out-jammed and out-missiled by either the F/A-18E/F or F-35 are not good since the ERBIS-E will be notified of what is happening simply by the AESA radar loosing its chirping feature once it's jamming the Russian radar which then opens the door for either of those missiles to lock on and score a hit. This is some pretty damming information and certainly a one-upmanship for the Russian missiles vs US-made AESA radars and effectively, the best radars in US inventory. Really incredible stuff.

So now we most certainly need to see the R-27 in different forms (although that will be super difficult to detect in pictures) on the Egyptian Su-35s when they start arming them and flying them around and we start seeing those armed aircraft in pictures. Lots of R-27s more so than the new RVV-SD or R-77-1.

Yes.. the F/A-18E/F or F-35 will be like between a rock and hard place.. it is not easy to deal with the SU-35.. not even mentioning their wing mounted AESA radars..

That feature just blows me away LOL! What a GREAT innovation and idea! Wow! And then it has the ability to use that along with its ERBIS-E radar which is a hybrid AESA/PESA and augment the 2 with the IRST! So in essence, it has basically 3 radars (although the IRST is more of an A2A target designator more so than a radar but designation is also a fundamental part of the function of a radar as well) and once the AC gets to WVR (OR..within the IRST's maximum range which in this case is 80km and well into BVR) of an enemy, it can essentially shut down it's main nose radar as well as the wing-mounted AESA and just use the IRST and limit the enemy's ability to use the Su's radar and detect it or jam it and that makes the use of only heat seeking missiles for the enemy and with the Su's IRST range of 80km, I would think it gives it quite the edge as far having the first kill shot opportunity.

It could still be possible however that it may have an AESA radar, especially since India has asked Russia to integrate the su-57s Belkya radar in there Su-30s as an upgrade. Speaking of the R-27 and R-77 wise what i see matters the most and what i would like too see is them being very heavy jamming resistant as that is what would make the missile more effective in a dogfight. The R-27ER/ET version are so far the best version as well.
