With 43 athletes on blacklist, India World No.2 in doping

. .

All I can say is that due to bad management of sports in India and poor training and facilities provided this is all we could achieve. We are now left with 3rd grade athletes who are cheaters and not champions. If was bound to happen.

dont mix a humble people into the basket of bragging ones

and in fact some rich indians have invested billions into your sports, yes?

Why would I try to mix Indians with pakistanis? We have no intentions of trying to match their enviable olympics record.

And those sports where we have invested in infrstructure and training, we have done well...Namely Cricket and IPL...

The rest of Indian sports are a sorry affair....leading to this pathetic state in other international sports...

If meditation is admitted as a sports, India would do well.

The difference being that they don't make excuses for their record, nor do they say they are on the verge of amazing accomplishments.

IPL is what?

Now way bro, India would wipe the floor with the rest of the world combined in future predictions.

These people are way beyond experts at shouting out future predictions at this point.

Kicking a person when they are down is easy....

Build him up and then try the same...

All I say is that China's performance is brilliant in the olympics...no doubt...But has nothing to do with an inherent ability...Its the willingness of a nation to invest in what they consider a matter of "national pride" and China has done that in athletes starting from extremely tender ages...India has fallen behind because of a deprived attitude towards sports..
And i give all props to them, the Chinese people

India needs a revolution in sports....other than cricket, we have very little to show for...and its quite pathetic...But that does not mean that athletic talent is lacking in India.

then dont bring the Pakistanis in this topic when they have been fabulous in cricket, hockey, squash wherein the people are receiving a lot less investment than indians

Indian Premier League...

Basically my point being that Billions have been invested in training facilities and players giving them a unique exposure, hence you see India in nearly all top categories of cricket...
Other than Cricket, very little has been done Privately (lets not even count government sponsored programs since most of them are scams aimed at filling the coffers of the babus)..for other sports.

We need to give sports like Hockey, Football, Boxing and Basketball a boost in order even appear on the radar of international levels...

then dont bring the Pakistanis in this topic when they have been fabulous in cricket, hockey, squash wherein the people are receiving a lot less investment than indians

and India has not in most of those sports? How do you know how much is being invested in those sports in India vs. Pak? Can you share some info?

I somewhat disagree. Many developed countries, with high GDP per capita and lotsa investment, still failed to do well in the Olympics. Inherent ability has a role.

How about Yoga then? Surely India would do well.
