Well if a opposition is corrupt and there is a solid evidence against them then they should be put in jail. But unfortunately in democracy before you take any action you have to take into confidence all the stakeholders.Thats why Imran Khan said "I wish".
It ceases to be a democracy if ones who voted for you to fight against all the Corruption in the country(that's what he shouted in his every single speech before the elections) but you are unable to take any action against the corrupt.

Whatever freedom you have be grateful for it and wish for more freedom not less. I wish we had half the freedom of speech that Pakistanis have.

Democratic system is the best system even if it's not perfect. People are unable to change laws according to their wishes. And many laws and judiciary systems in Pakistan , India and Bangladesh are in fact made in the British rule. And despite majority of people don't like it it's still there. Which tells the system might not be as democratic as we are told. So we need real democracy. We need accountability and presidents and people in power should be accountable to people directly. Normal people should be able to meet with presidents to tell their concerns.

The less is the government the less the corruption. I have seen in the sentiment of people that they think army and police are some kind of angels send by the almighty himself. Maybe they are too afraid maybe they are brainwashed. Truth is every human has their own interests. In it's base form standing Army , standing police force, government workers are paid by the people via tax but what happens is when given power a group of people starts acting like they are the owner of the land.

Some one said Pakistanis need Mao. Lol. I mean please. The mass murderer who eclipsed even Hitler and Stalin.
GDP, big buildings and infrastructure seems good on paper but don't forget the people.

Somehow democracy works in Rwanda, Indonesia, Malaysia, etc but somehow it can't work for us. Every nation has tribes/ethnicities/etc. Every nation has idiots. Go to the villages in Turkey they aren't first world aristocrats.

IK needs to stop saying these things. There is zero threat to his govt from any opposition party. And the economy sucks rt now. Imagine what will happen iA in a few years when things get better. Democracy in itself means nothing. It is representing the will of the people that matters, and there are other ways to do that just as effectively as long as the people hold the same values as those in power.

Only idiots take actions first and worry about consequences later. If he had ordered to attack India, i bet you would be one of those people that would whine about him attacking India and making your life even more miserable.

As for corruption, more people are in prison on corruption charges than anytime in the history of Pakistan. But the slow speed is not his fault nor is it cowardice, its the judicial system that runs on snail speeds.

It's not about him being a coward, it's just that our Government system is too decentralized and PTI doesn't even have majority.
Personally, I believe this system is sluggish and inefficient, hence why when we had martial law, our economic performance used to peak and they got things done with minimal spending at maximum efficiency like the construction of Islamabad, our various dams, Karakoram highway, etc...
