WION: Why is India poised to become the next superpower?

Thanks bro, feel good to see guys are still around!
I come on and off. Not really constant. But you're coming back after a really long time. Thought you left the forum for good.

Yes I've been busy with other things, but still will check PDF once in a while especially in times of major regional events, like Kashmir conflict, Sino-India tension, etc. PDF is a good source of info, and many sophisticated posters here offer insightful opinions.

Hahah.... same with me. I came because of the pictures in Galwan clash. ;)

I'll just leave this here:

I think it's truly a bigger puzzle why India is that poor despite having almost everything under the sky:
  1. Huge territory
  2. Huge workforce
  3. Huge natural resources (India has more oil than China, and way more coke, and iron)
  4. Education system pumping out more engineers every year than even China. In fact, urban Indians are quite comparably educated to more educated cities in China
  5. Huge infrastructure, in fact India has bigger road network than China
  6. Internet penetration bigger, and for longer time than in China
  7. Financial system largely more healthier than China, as India been letting its banks fail for much longer time
  8. Indian bourses were open for much longer than our, and investment culture is way more mature
Yet, despite all that, India is still dirt poor.

Can you prove points 3,4,6,7 and clarify point 5, as to what types of roads are counted (i.e. paved concrete or asphalt highway vs dirt paths for animals)?

In US and UK legal doctrine, there is the doctrine of falsus in unum, falsus in omnibus. If you are factually lying even once, it means every one of your claims is suspect.

Claim 3: India has more oil. Factual lie for reserves, factual lie for production.
Claim 4: India produces more engineers. Factual lie yet again.
Claim 5: India has longer road network. Technically true if you consider unpaved dirt paths, absolutely false if you consider only improved paved roads.
Claim 6: India has higher internet penetration. Factual lie yet again since 2015.
Claim 7: India has financial system seen as healthier. Factual lie yet again, China has A+ bond rating while India has BBB-.

India has every advantage a country could dream of and yet is still a poor shithole. It has a massive coastline and land area, strategic position near the Malacca strait, huge population and natural resources, himalayas to defend against China (who doesn't even want to attack them in the first place) and all its borders are with satellite states except for Pakistan, and let's not even get started on how that border favours India in every way possible.

Every problem in India cannot be blamed on "blaady britishers." The US was colonised by Europeans, look at where it is now. The British colonised the UAE, look where they are now (in fact they got independence as late as the 70s).

If India vacates Kashmir, gives rights to minorities, stops picking fights with all its neighbours and stops this love Jihad nonsense it will easily become a respected major power and free up countless resources.

Why?

Indians' biggest problem is they don't even believe they have problems.

Indian media is one of the biggest liabilities to the image of "Mother India". When Indian media bigmouthed, all Indians hyped then humiliated. They deserve each other though, they are just like a Masala/Curry combo, messy but complimenting one another.

If you are looking for Masala/Curry combo, you can go to India (I personally hate Indian curry - too salty and overloaded with spice).

But the best Indian cuisine made in Great Britain was invented and perfected by Bangladeshis from Sylhet region. Thinks like Balti Curry and Chicken Tikka Masala were British Bangladeshi inventions. You have to have the right balance of spice and ingredients instead of the nasty Indian practice of overloading it with salt.

However the butter Naan was invented by Chinese citizens in Xinjiang and has the world's largest Naan factory at this time.

Brilliant analysis and thought. However as I see it, the problem is not with the geography or with the geopolitics, it is with the $hit-for-brains Indian scheming politicians and high caste Banya exploiter business people who live there. They don't want to let go of exclusively exploiting India and Indians, and will forever keep it poor. These conditions and situations are exclusive to India and don't exist anywhere else, which also includes the artificial situation of keeping Hindu unity strong by demonizing non-Hindus.

I found a video about why Indian will always remain poor and a $hithole, I request please see it in its entirety, it will clear up a lot of things. Video is a bit long, but worth it IMHO.

how can sub saharan indians ever become a supapowa? They can't even make a bicycle.

Well they do make bikes but not very many high class racing and off-road bikes. That market in India belongs to China, Indonesia and now, Bangladesh.

Indians import bandwidth from Bangladesh !! Enough said.

They have huge arrears with us, haven't paid us in years.

Well there's your superpower... :-)
