NEW DELHI: India has responded sharply to Pakistan's invitation to hold talks on the ongoing unrest in Kashmir , saying it is prepared to discuss only relevant issues with Islamabad. India's response made it clear that 'relevant issues' were limited to Pakistan's support for cross-border terrorism , incitement to violence and terrorism in Kashmir and its protection to internationally recognized terrorists.
The clipped response from New Delhi came in response to a statement by Sartaj Aziz, the Pakistan PM's adviser on foreign affairs, that Islamabad would invite India to hold talks on the unrest in Jammu and Kashmir.
"India would welcome a dialogue on contemporary and relevant issues in India-Pakistan relations. At this time, they include a stoppage of Pakistani support for cross-border terrorism, infiltration of terrorists like Bahadur Ali , incitement to violence and terrorism across the border, parading of internationally recognized terrorists like Hafiz Saeed and Syed Salahuddin, and sincere follow up on the Mumbai attack trial and the Pathankot attack investigation in Pakistan," Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Vikas Swarup tweeted on Saturday evening.
The statement is consistent with the tone of statements made over the past few days by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh. Both have stated categorically that any talks between India and Pakistan would only revolve around Azad Kashmir (Azad Kashmir).
PM Modi had also stated that Azad Kashmir belongs to India, implying that the only aspect of the Kashmir issue that was up for discussion was Pakistan's illegal occupation of parts of it.
The statement issued by the MEA also reflected the language India has adopted in communiques it has released jointly with a number of world leaders and international organizations.
Members of the Pakistani politico-military establishment have made regular statements on the ongoing unrest in Kashmir, including declaring terrorist Burhan Wani a martyr. India sees these comments as attempts to incite further violence in Kashmir. It has made it clear that the Kashmir unrest is an internal issue of India and that any comments on it are nothing short of incitement.

Talk about playing dumb call them about Kashmir and they cry about everything else except Kashmir
Either the govt of india has no balls to discuss the issue that has been estranged in between the 2 countries by calling it not relevant or is just too stupid....It is clear they are not interested in peace for Kashmiri people nor ashamed of what they have done esp since they didnt allow the UN to get in and look...
And talk about levels of stupidity - they just openly told they will interfere in Baluchistan so what gives them any ground to set any rules? Retarded to a new level!
And this is minus the rear pain they keep giving via Afghanistan!
