‘Will worship Indian Air Force from today’

Specifically to charge cell phones? That's unlikely, since they don't rely on cell phones for communication - they have their own datalinks and network. Maybe they have a generic charging station to charge all sorts of electronic devices, and presently they are (very ingeniously) using it to charge cell phones.

Somehow, a lot of jokes are coming up in my mind about people recharging their cell phones in the middle of a calamity. Of course, the situation is nothing to laugh about - and a working cellular network helps immensely in the rescue and relief efforts.
It's like a jugaad....but very helpful in situation like this....already charged batteries connected to the switches.

Not something to be laughed at or belittled at all. One of the main concerns all such families/survivors have had when interviewed is that they can't communicate with their relatives now that communication is being resorted in the valley he issues is that people's phones are not charged. This is actually a very intelligent step the IA has taken and is exactly what was called for.

Not quite, they are mobile charging stations to charge military equipment not cellular devices. The IA appears to have used some off the shelf extension cables/multiplier plugs so the civilians can use them to charge their phones.

Onboard generators not batteries.

Indeed, I hope this goes some way in that regard to educate the majority of the populace who are good people but caught up in an impossible situation. But for some trash (the likes who tweet that the only reason that the Indian forces are doing anything is because they are obligated to by the Geneva convention) they will change nothing and they'll find someway to spin it into a negative.

Oh look, didn't take them long:
