Bro I've never come across a Punjabi from our side who is proud of his culture.
meet more people I guess, people don't chimp out over it true- but the majority of the people do care about it, feel it
I don't know who yall are meeting to come to these conclusions?
I would say the Sikhs of East Punjab care more deeply.
we are 35-40% of 220 million- you want us to go that route?... think about it
I have hardly seen Pahtuns marrying Punjabis, Balochi marrying Punjabi, and Sindi marrying Punjabi. At least here in Canada I see Punjabis marrying Urdu Muhajirs and its because of their inferiority complexes.
wth lol how's interethnic marriage = inferiority complex? -
we weren't even marrying outside of clans probably some 2-3 decades ago, it's still a big thing but in urban, educated classes it is decreasing
you think any jutt, arain, Kamboj, or whatever clan living in rural areas or lower-middle-class urban areas would ever marry out - their own extended family will beat the crap out of their kids if they fall out of line
- urban, educated classes, yes they marry out, and only less tribalist, similarly educated people left are probably Urdu speakers not to mention our culture matches with em and to some extent Sindhis the most (with Sindhis its more of a historical relationship (our famous poets could write poems in each other's language for example)one but nowadays they don't migrate to Punjab unlike every other ethnic group or are in the diaspora so people don't know about it)
"inferiority
"
dude till the mid to late 80s probably we were the richest state in all of South Asia despite not being on the coast (fauji f ups and adventures ruined it afterward- these rouge donkeys should be controlled), even now most of the populated South Asian states located deep inland have bad living standards, we are among the few who beat the trend (other 2-3 are in India), go to Africa a lot of businesses would either be Muslim Punjabi or Gujarati Muslim (Hindus play a major role too but I am just talking about the Muslim side) , our Sufi poetry work is considered among top echelons of Sufi poetry works, in the region with around 600 million Muslims only man to win Nobel prize for science is Punjabi jutt, one of the worlds earliest known global sports star was from Punjab (from 3rd world country, not Europe) , only Pakistani song to be in top European charts for weeks was a Punjabi song, only Pakistani singer with some sorta global recognition was Punjabi who sung a lot of his songs in Punjabi, pleny of other things can go on and on with it, thats one Steller records in almost every field
only ignorant people would feel it
All of it is gods blessings- the only curse throughout history being negative 50 leadership skills, never had a leader of men throughout its history, society is incapable of producing good leaders
this curse haunts Pakistan too- that's why I have recognized for Pak to succeed it probably needs leaders from other groups
In Pakistan especially in urban areas no one speaks Punjabi with their kids.
braah my family owns auto parts factories, we do good- all of our family speak teth Punjabi at home, so do my cousins and their kids and as far as I know, 85-90% of people I have met in my circles do too
that other 10% is exaggerated and is used to paintbrush on all 85-90%
In rural areas they probably do.
like most places, rural areas are the purest in terms of language , traditions, culture etc
