A new draft resolution at the US House of Representatives is now more urgent than ever. This resolution is related to giving the authority to the US president to direct a preemptive military strike against Iran, in light of the escalating threats from Iran and its militias in the region, especially in Yemen, Syria and Iraq.

Elsie Hustings, member of the Foreign Affairs Committee at the US House of Representatives, issued a regulation on January 3rd, called H. J. RES 10, authorizing the use of the United States Armed Forces to achieve the goal of preventing Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons. This resolution allows the US President to use the armed forces in a preemptive strike against Iran.

This list has been provided along another list asking to impose sanctions on Iran, after the development of a ballistic missiles program, with the start of the new Congress session earlier this year.

There are voices in the Congress, led by Republican representatives calling for the imposition of other sanctions because of Tehran’s violations of human rights and its support for terrorism in the region.

Hossein Mousavian, former spokesperson of Iran’s nuclear negotiating team and former aide to Iran’s Supreme Council for National Security, warned his country from activating the program of the “regime change” in Iran with Trump’s presidency.

In an interview with reformist “asharq” newspaper, Mousavian said the names suggested for Trump’s foreign policy and security team are all against the Iranian regime and the nuclear agreement. They are all with toppling the Iranian republic regime.

He confirmed that “the current Republican majority in the Congress is against Obama’s policies related to dealing with the Iranian regime. This majority might seize the opportunity during Trump’s tenure to make up for the past and direct a military strike against Iran.

CC: to those Iranians who praised Trump during his campaign.

If Trump wants to defeat ISIS, he needs to deal with Iran. Plus, Trump's buddy Russia is also a buddy of Iran. Both Iran and Russia wants Assad to remain in power, while the Gulf states and Turkey want him to go. What is Trump going to do?

He's in a pickle.

Trump will be naive, Iran has good relationship with India, Russia and China

He wont. He realises US mistake in Syria and is stressing on US not involving in issues in the Muslim world. He doesnt want to do anything with Islamic world. That's one positive I see from this not so impressive guy.

It's just a bill to let Iran know that the US will support any decision to take action should Iran go Nuclear, if it passes.

If it doesn't pass, no US President needs the approval of anyone to carry out preempt strikes against any nation.

Obviously, Iran is at top list, I heard Trump is man of word !
If he says, he will...

This just came out today,

Trump administration says it’s putting Iran ‘on notice’ following missile test

In his first media appearance since the inauguration, Flynn recalled that Trump during his campaign criticized the nuclear deal — negotiated by the Obama administration with world powers, Iran and the United Nations — “as being weak and ineffective.”

“Instead of being thankful to the United States for these agreements,” he said, “Iran now feels emboldened.” The brief statement, calling the missile launch “provocative,” did not outline any actions the administration intends to take.

Trump is a businessman, he wants the best deal in his (USA) favour, but when you mix politics with business you have to compromise..
He wants to make money (as the picture in the Opening post of the thread depicts very well his motive) for his country not to spend trillions again.. So, military warfare is not an option with him in power, most likely an economic war..

. .
Trump and his backers need war and want war

Iran is a good target for them, between the zionists and right wingers war with iran is the ultimate goal.

Iran dosent need to be as strong as USA it just needs to have enough of a deterrence that the USA knows it would cost too much to attack iran.

If i were Iranian I would hope for the best but increase my defences, reach out to allies and prepare for war whilst you have the chance
