I think since Taliban are welcoming foreign investment and ensuring no interference to other countries, it is perfect time for Pakistan to build Highway to Central Asia from Peshawar (as planned) and from Quetta to increase our exports and dependence of Central Asia in Gwadar.

Perfect time to build Gas pipeline as we badly need it and let Taliban secure it in exchange of money

If you able to think positively, Pakistan left no stone unturned for peace in Afghanistan and stability in region; but all efforts in vain due to US arrogance and false ego. Now you are witness to the humiliation brought to US by the hands of Talibans. Pakistan stance for negotiation for peace proven right. At the end US forced to withdrawn the status of 'terrorists' which was only awarded to Taliban on the wish and will of US; and US has no option left but to negotiate.
Listen to Mr. Hameed Gul (late) words, ISI defeated US by the hands of US in Afghanistan; if I am not wrong the words said by Mr Hameed Gul almost 10 years ago.

No! I don't think Pakistan's image will change.... in fact this has nothing to do with Pakistan's image.

There are two reasons I say the above:

1. In the last 40 years, Pakistan's leaders have lived either as a corrupt boot lickers of America and West; or in the last 3-years stood up to them. It is likely that, in future, another Zardari or Shreef is the leader of Pakistan and we become the same country.

2. International policies and agendas define any region or country as per their strategic gain. They ask to you join them (and become a servant) or they turn you into an enemy (as China is at the moment). It all depends what the future agenda is, and who is running it. For the moment, it seems that China and Russia re on the rise and (hence) Pakistan in OK (but this OK may become not OK if we stand up to US and West to be with China and Russia).

there is nothing to prove or improve image to those who have already setup their mind to confront Pakistan.
this is beyond Pakistan now. its up to Taliban now to prove themselves how they will deal with Daesh which was brought here from Middle east and the remnants of Northern Alliance to ensure peace and stability in Afghanistan is not put in danger by these proxies.

I think Pakistan's image is bound with Taliban's behavior in Afghanistan, if they follow the promises they made of a fair Govt, women rights and protecting Minorities and keep peace, than world will eventually accept Taliban Govt, and those who are not bound by the hate or any evil towards Pakistan will praise its efforts towards bringing Peace to Afghanistan. I don't expect India or America to be in those who will undermine Pakistan and try their best to hurt its image and internal security.

The author is naive to not understand the inherent plans of certain global powers to project Pakistan in a negative limelight … remember they have “deep pockets”, they shape the perception of the world since they control the mass media conglomerate and for Pakistan to get into their good books Pakistan have to sacrifice its fundamental stand on issues like Palestine, Kashmir and also to tweak its social fabric to align more with western liberal values which as most of you all know goes against what majority of Pakistanis want Pakistan to be … the world is currently clearly going through a process of being divided into two groups … and unfortunately Pakistan will have to choose “a group” whose long term geo political, economic and security interests are aligned with Pakistan, gone are the days where you can maneuver your diplomatic policies so that you remain in good books of ALL big global powers.

So the bottom line is Pakistan should firmly stick to a group of Countries whose long term geopolitical, security and economic interests align with its long term interests so that NO ONE can dictate Pakistan how to govern itself.

Their hypocrisy known no limit, its not their hate for Pakistan but hate for Muslims. Pakistan should not give a shoot about anything and IK should keep doing what is in the interest of Pakistan and keep showing a mirror to west while showing the true face of India and west's hypocritical policies about India.

A small thing like e-visa that India announces for Afghanis gets huge praises and mentions by the world because their government actually spends money for propaganda and media while ours don't.

We are already being blamed by the whole world for US failure in Afghanistan, they call us a terrorist nation for providing safe havens to Taliban in past and scapegoat us for the defeat. Life for Pakistani expats is being made miserable more and more, these Afghani refugees that are being taken by other countries will even further wreak hell on the **** expats living their.
