I see no reason why. Pakistan after having conducted a free and fair election is no longer a military dictatorship under emergency rule.

I hope we dont join. I think it is up to the Pakistani people to decide what tyoe of government we want not for the Commonwealth to dictate it to us.

i think it would be a stupid idea and an insult to our nation. why should we suck up to the commonwealth? in essence, it's our chains of slavery to the british empire.

True but it may help Pakistans global standing and make it look more attractive to invest in to outside countries thereby helping the economy.

Besides these days the Commonwealth is just a formality and a Gentlemens club for heads of state.

Commonwealth games are one of the few international games where subcontinental teams wins (tons of) medals..

yeah i know it doesn't impact whether we are a member or not but i would just like pak to rejoin as an image thing and for historical reasons it would be nice to be part of something were all the other countries have something in common with us.
