If he can get inflation under control and the economy growing significantly in the next 18 months he may have a better then likely chance. Also, if judicial reforms are made to speed up ease of getting cases resolved ASAP, that may also help win over voters. If food prices drop significantly, he may also be able to win over voters. He needs to win enough battles to cobble together a successful narrative of what has been accomplished over his tenure. On foreign policy he has convinced a lot of people, but people most think of their wallets and their domestic issues before all else.

I think it'd depend on who came in next. Do I think my investment is safe under PMLN or PPP?

Under PPP Unlikely unless im paying kickbacks, under PMLN - maybe as long as it's not real estate or anything physical.

The big investors backed by foreign govts or those with GoP protection will invest, the SME will wait and see the direction.

Hell, even crooks and criminals like Nawaz and Zardari were sharp enough to put their men in every sphere of state to put their agenda in motion.

Running state is not like running charity, ruthless and timely decisions are needed, so things can get done on time.
