They needed him as an ally to keep Syrian Kurds in check and Iraq government as ally to keep Iraq kurds in check, lastly Iran as an ally to keep Irani kurds in check. It would have been a good alliance. Instead they supported MB for rebellion and made Egypt Syria as enemy states. Then UAE and and Saudi as regional rivals.
