Will a right-wing boycott of Chinese goods send a 'tough message' to Beijing?

That's a misconception. I always avoid Chinese goods for quality issues, for years I don't buy if it is made in China, unless you stretch it to maybe 'the third screw from top in something is from China'. China makes a lot of things doesn't mean they make all the things.
I believe you:rofl:

I don't think any country in the world can boycott cheap/affordable Chinese goods. What percentage of your population can afford western stuff?

He was right, out of all expensive Chinese restaurants I went in India none had Chinese chefs. They charged very handsomely but could not offer some basic Chinese dishes like stir fry green veggies and steam fish.

Much of the Indian IT industry will collapse as a result as they will not be able to find processors, memory chips, servers, monitors and even basic input like keyboard and mouse..
Yup, with halting $19 billion Chinese electronic imports into India's $94 billion electronics market

Indian IT industry will collapse due to 20% of electronics demand being not met.

I think I should be thankful that you did not claim Indian Space and Military would collapse due ban on Chinese electronic imports.

@Rain Man I think this info will be helpful to you

So you are assuming that appliances like television, car parts, washing machine, vacuum cleaners, exhaust fans, blenders, mixers they are all used by Indian it industry? It will be interesting to see the break down specially for IT products.

Which part of my post even remotely mentions "appliances like television, car parts, washing machine, vacuum cleaners, exhaust fans, blenders" ?

Indian electronics market primarily consists of :

Top 10 electronic products contributing about 70% by total revenue - Mobile Phones; Flat Panel TVs; Notebooks; Desktops; Digital Camera; Inverters and UPS; Memory Cards & USB Drivers; 4W EMS; LCD Monitors and Servers

Of which 38% is imported at $36 billion rest of it is by electronic goods made in India.

Chinese electronic equipment exports to India include:

We can build everything from screens to chips.
We did not build them before because of anti-India Congress.
Now, we have every sort of tech, we will kick foreign smart phone manufacturers out and only use make-in-india chips!
