Wow phylumchordata thanks so much for that, the more tips and hints for the family and I the better, India is such a huge, amazing country, I think we will have to return again and again.

We only have five weeks unfortunately and I know some of my friends stay for months and tell me they haven't even scratched the surface.

Is there a few places where we can do some voluntary work as well? Would voe to help out in a small way to the people who are unlucky enough to have a lot less than us.

there are some tourist traps as well..

My frnd has said India has never invaded any country for the apst 10000 years. tats amazing.

That's wrong. We Tamils went 4000 km from our coast line and established our empire in Indonesia and Malay peninsula defeating the mighty Sri Vijaya empire one millenia ago.

I know there are a lot of problems in India, but I also know there are a lot of good things as well.

Poverty is there, problems are there..but more than that **HOPE** is there. Hope about our country standing high among the comity of nations and hope in improvement of our nation. That is the most important thing.

this is one of best documentaries I have seen on India's wild life. Narrated by David Attenborogh . Amazing cinematography and narration.

Not sure if you can find in on the net? You might have to buy the DVD but trust me it will be a good purchase, I think the people of India need to do more to save the environment and the beauty that is Wild India. You guys after watching this will have a new understanding and appreciation of your great country and this doco could also be used in schools etc to educate the kids on your natural history.
