Why we lag behind

Point out one sector in Pakistan where you don't find Pakistani women participating?

Education, corporate, business, modelling, film industry, politics, medicine, military, law, mountaineer ..... one sector.

I guess Pakistan was the first country in this region to produce a woman fighter jet pilot.

Mate.. That’s just a minority of your educated middle upper class urban society, Literacy rate of Pakistani women one of the lowest in the world ( you can just check any Pakistani or multi lateral studies done on it) adding to the already decreasing literacy levels of the whole population of the country, which is doubly worrying While you’re trying to highlight a small minority your own brethren openly admitted that keeping womenfolk hidden away only to breed is part of your culture ( ironically posting from Canada one of the most liberal democracies in the world, when it comes to women/ Gay/ minority rights The very qualities he seems to hate)

So pray tell who to believe

Btw highlighting about something that would make Pakistan benefit isn’t necessarily being anti Pakistani or having an agenda, Only people with petty egos would get massively offended

May be you should look at the flags and see who may be more close to living within Pakistani society and know more about it.

Highlighting something is fine no problem with that, I don't disagree with, that there is room for more improvement, what I do disagree with is generalisation based on media reports and far from reality. You must understand that the image of Pakistan that got relayed for last decade or so is that of war struck country, the images you got to see were those of turban wearing bazooka carrying terrorists, there was no real projection of Pakistani society at large that was fighting that menace. That area is one pocket and I believe you would agree that Pakistan is more than that. Even in rural areas our illiterate women are into farming, hard work, handicrafts and small businesses.

And please do mention how many of urban indian, sri lankan or Bangladeshi women are advanced that Pakistanis women are being looked down at? They may live in worst conditions than ours, if they don't get highlighted doesn't mean they are progressive and very literate and living prosperous lives. Smuggling of Bangladeshi women is common, indian film industry is making movies on women sanitary and how bleeding once a month is not taboo.

I'd have to say the level of education and overall outlook of the family influence the welfare of women in that family no matter if their from PK, IN, or BD.

You can have misogynstic cretins abusing their women as well as families who value education raising high functioning women in the same country.

Its more a function of family background than say their country of origin.

In this race of we are better than you, why all these countries have to compare themselves with Pakistan? Do we Pakistan ever compare ourselves with any of them? And even if you wish to compare then be honest in comparison, you single out Pakistan for the common social and societal ills that may exist more in your countries.

I really don't get this desire of proving we are better than Pakistan and Pakistanis. Okay suppose you are, have we come knocking at your doors asking for aid? Bangladeshis should also remember that most of our business moved during these 15 years from Pakistan to Bangladesh.

I'm not sure what exactly is going on.

PDF doesnt represent Bengalis at large.

I would think the average Pakistani doesnt care about Bangladesh and vice versa.

Regardless, as a Muslim I want both Pakistan and Bangaldesh to do well.

And as a human I want all of South Asia to do well.

The real benchmark is the Western World at present.

If you wish an honest comparison there is no comparison between Bangladesh and Pakistan, I hope all these minions including Sri Lanka, Malaysia and Indonesia understand that no matter how much you develop and progress .... you cannot match Pakistan's might. It is this simple, Pakistan is not a player in the category you fall in. Stop trying to be superior than us and sort out your priorities.

As a Muslim I too want peace and prosperity for everyone, but I will be honest with you, considering the type of mentality indian and Bangladeshi Muslims carry we don't want anything to do with them. Just leave us alone.

but we ain't the west where women are paraded around streets like some sex objects.
TIL incorporating women in a countries workforce is like treating them as sex objects
No one in Pakistan compares ourselves to BD, but it seems every one in BD compares themselves to Pakistan.

Indian and BD obsession with us is creepy and weird as heck.

Compare yourselves to Sri Lanka, Burma, Nepal, Bhutan, who are closer to you in culture and race.
because we were told we suck when we were together and told we would suck hereon after after seperation...
it's just comparison to that.... idk why you're feeling prickly?
as for the race talk.... pakistanis aren't homogenous race and so aren't bengalis... or indians for the matter of fact
i see many pakistanis here try to seperate themselves from subcontinent's people and the culture and would rather associate themselves with arabs... but the fact of the matter is those guys don't consider y'all to be arabs

What mentality are you speaking of when you reference Bangladeshi muslims?

Just curious.

Narrow mindedness, trying to prove themselves superior, cannot let go of the past even when most of us weren't born then. You got your country, for good or for bad just end it at that. Why every now and then come up with exaggerated emotional stories of 1971, they are close to indians in mentality, they get played by Pakistan card by their politicians.

I didnt realize thought was homogenous.

You're gonna get different answers from different people again depending on their backgrounds.

I don't think you can generalize your statement to the whole of Bangaldeshi Muslims.

Also, those qualities you mentioned aren't limited to Bangaldeshis.

But to be fair, yes those people exist that you mention.

And quite a few are on PDF as you have already seen.

Your majority here suffers from it. There are few exceptions that post neutral and fair content and hold rational views.

Pakistanis don't treat you like we treat indians ......... its only when your PM has to say something against Pakistan that we visit your section.

These countries minion.!!!:o:

Both Malaysia and Indonesia has bigger GDP than Pakistan. Bigger economic footprint in the world. While Sri Lanka may not that big, but it's strategic location is very important. Sri Lanka is much wealthier country than Pakistan. In fact all these three countries are much wealthier than Pakistan and all three occupy important position in the world. specially Indonesia, a G20 member, one of the biggest economy, 4th most populous state, largest Muslim state, overlooking Malacca strait. Indonesia's economy is 4 times the size of Pakistan. most influential member of ASEAN. According to GFP, Indonesia is 15th most powerful military, ahead of Pakistan. I failed to understand, how you can call these countries minion.o_O

Is military power and atom bomb everything?
