The MENA and West Asia have been assimilated aka Arabized/Turkified under Arab/Turkish rule. South and Central Asia are influenced by them too.

The Balkan have been under Turkish rule for 600 years but no one have have been assimilated. Everyone still preserved their identity, language, culture, religion etc.

Turkish culture/influence are virtually non-existent in the Balkan.

Why?

How can the Balkans be under Turkish rule for 600 years ?

By the time that Constantinople fell, the Turks had already got into Europe, leaving the fortress city isolated. Their coming to the Balkans, and further (the first attack on Vienna occurred at around this time), was a constantly recurring dread in the minds of fourteenth and fifteenth century European diplomats and statesmen.

Turks conquered Constantinople in 1453. Their conquests of Europe were after 1453. By 1918 they were expelled from all of Europe.

Sorry, that is not correct. Do look up the time lines.

Rather a sweeping statement. Both the Serbs and Croats on the one hand, not to forget the Montenegrins, and the Bosnians and Albanians on the other hand, would raise their eyebrows at this definition.

I was a little taken aback by your post, because you are right on the ball in most cases; actually, in all cases that I remember, offhand. Happy to have been of help.

Firstly the Ottomans like any intelligent empire were more interested in ensuring the tax money that kept the empires military and economy running was not interrupted. Although they engaged in some acts like devishirme which by our modern day ethics and morals are unacceptable, they by and large left the indigenous Balkan communities on their own, as long as they did not rebel and the taxes kept flowing in.

Having said all of this, large Turkish communities have existed through out the Balkans for centuries. In Bulgaria I believe the number was as high as 30-40% of the population which subsequent to Bulgarian independence saw a steep decline like in other Balkan countries following their independence, as Turks were massacred or forced to leave. Still around 10% of the Bulgarian population to this day are ethnic Turks. Significant minorities exist in neighbouring Macedonia (FYROM) as well. Also Crete by the time of Greek independence had a Turkish (Muslim) population of almost 50% which then fell to zero following the population exchange between Greece and Turkey.

Apart from an actual population, the cultural and religious influence of the Ottoman Empire on the Balkans is also deep. Without them the Bosniak identity would not exist and Albanians and Kosovars would not be majority Muslim. Ćevapčići kebabs would not be eaten by Serbs, Greeks would not be eating lokoumi etc.

All in all the Ottomans/Turks impacted the Balkans extremely deeply, even if nationalist revisionist policies post independence may try to deny this.

Will you please clarify what ''Turkified'' is supposed to mean, what assimilation is meant in your claim?

Is there any nation that fits your claim under Turk rule?

Or you could simply admit to have no idea what you are talking about and therefore troll us here.

Well religion is a big factor in this, forceful conversion was never Ottoman policy (except the janissaries), the Christian and Jewish population from Balkans, the Armenians, Sephardim Jews etc. could mind their own business.

Cause of Islamic tolerance and humanity in the so called Golden Age .
If they had acted brutal as Spanish and other emperial torturers did,
almost 600 Million people would speak Turkish , from North Africa, Balkans to Central Asia.

Maybe we should have done it.

Impossible. The locals would have risen en masse and your Empire in the Balkans would have collapsed.
