Why US Seal Team can't target Snowden- Abbottabad raid ?

Snowden made a big mistake by accepting Russian asylum for he is nothing more than a bargaining chip in Putin's bag now.

Russia will trade him in a second to the US for the right price, claiming that he violated the terms of his parole. If both Russia and the US agree on the cover story -- and the media will play along -- who is going to believe Snowden's version of the story?

. . .
Perhaps you should be more astute when citing dates.. The moscow of 1987 was much more impregnable than the Moscow of today.

Mathias Rust flew his Cessna into Red Square in 1987, and you think that Moscow's security is worse now than it was then, specially by air?

Snowden is in country which has glorious history of second world war and Laden was in country which had 1971 surrender and US drone attack

Osama was hated by most of the world. Where as snowden has his own and diverse list of sympathizers. If US plans any sort of operation on him. It will be condemned by most of the world including a good number in the US itself.

Actually he had made a mistake by appearing in public, I understand he must have been chased and his whereabouts would soon be traced by CIA agents, still he could have the option to take unofficial steps like seeking asylum in secret and going underground as long as he could afford.

I don't think any country would risk its existence by giving him permanent asylum in an officially declared way. Nobody wants to mess with the modern Holy Roman Empire.

But his Xkeyscore revelation is thrilling. Whoever can operate it is god in internet space, he knows everything. I don't know how much Snowden spied on girls' emails, browsing data Lol

Idiocy at best, one could also argue, America is a country which lost in Vietnam while the Russians were forced to pack bags in Afghanistan, ......

If someone with good research skills can list the number of Russian spies that the US gave asylum to over the years with dates that would be great. Also when these spies crossed over what court did Russia go to for their recovery?

Thanks for the heads-up @Oscar. I do remember that incident, the Soviet Apparatchik was not amused. The Marshal i-c of the Air Defences paid for it. Probably with a 'one-way ticket' to a Gulag.

Not only the Marshal, but over 150 people down the chain too.

I don't think he is the kind of survivalist who knows how to live off the grid.

He also seems to have miscalculated the mood of the American public: a large segment of the population considers him a traitor and are happy with the surveillance program.

That is true, which is why the Bear's embrace is not as benign as it appears. It has ulterior motives.

You are right. He is just an amateur who was concerned with desk job.

Bolivia and some others called for a meeting to decide what to do after Bolivian President flight had been downed in Europe. What happened afterwards?

I think the Bolivia Presidential flight incident was a chess play between the CIA and FSB which finally fooled the other and won the game. Russians are indeed smarter.

Since you can't contain yourself within your skin, what does 1971 has to do with the current scenario, more to the point the biting reality is that dozen rag tags were able to penetrate into your defences and sail down your throat in a clumsy rubber boat.
