The landscape design of the embassy complex is inspired by the traditions of horticulture and rice production, such as the topography of the Mekong Delta and the Red River Delta, and has a connection to the capital's history. features of the area where the complex is located, which was originally a rice field in the early 2000s.
After the US and Vietnam normalized diplomatic relations in 1995, the Vietnamese Government committed to give the US a site to build the embassy complex in Hanoi. This is the US embassy in UK, the second most expensive one after the one in Ha Noi...it look like a fortress instead of a friendly design like the one in Ha Noi

New US embassy mainly is the symbol for a better economic tie between VN and US. US don't wanna keep buying products from CN when CN keep dreaming that they will become No 1 soon. US wanna buy those stuff from other nations and VN is the best choice for setting up new manufacturing Hub.
Its all abt economic matter, not much thing abt politic or military conflict when build this new embassy.

China investing heavily in Missile arsenal.
China investing heavily in Destroyers, support ships and Aircraft carriers.
China investing heavily in Airforce. building 100+ (J-16, J-10, J-11, J-20, FC-31 etc).
China even heavily investing in Communication and surveillance using sattelite system, quantum computers etc..
all these doesn't show preparedness of "Human wave attack". All these are modern military solutions set to win a modern warfare.
