Sikhs were 3rd largest group in entire punjab, so no sikh majority in punjab.
They were also not a majority in post 1947 indian punjab(punjab+haryana+ himachal+ Chandigarh)..so no sikh state in that case too.
The only region they have considerable majority is majhi and some parts of malwa region...
So they would have been completely dependent upon either india or Pakistan for water, trade and would have ended up like kashmir or Hyderabad eventually... whereas they got the best of indian 5 year plans after independence when punjab was epicenter of green revolution.
