Sir it's difficult to gauge what America intends. I doubt they will ever leave Afghanistan. The benefits of entrenchment on pk's western border are too great. It really has nothing to do with Afghanistan. Despite Trump's rhetoric, they're happy to lose a dozen soldiers a year to stay next door to Pakistan AND cpec. They also don't care how many Taliban and ANA soldiers die fighting each other. I think Pakistan needs to find a way to cope with USA constantly being next door rather than rely on them packing up and leaving as part of our long-term strategy.I believe that in near future talks between US and Taliban would be restarted.
