Why so many Dutch people work part time

Netherlands is more expensive than UK with the latter providing higher salaries and cheaper costs for facilities(transport etc). But the Dutch spend very wisely and are usually very content with the money they earn.

Bullshit.

Below are the 15 countries with the highest costs of living, according to Numbeo's data. The living costs in each country are measured against a base of 100, which represents New York City's cost of living. For instance, the data show that living in Switzerland is just over 26% more expensive than living in New York City.

Here Are The Most Expensive Countries In The World To Live In

Unless you are super rich British both partners don't have to work. But if you are anything below you going to have to work 40-60 hours a week to make a decent living, your partner/wife also has to pitch in with at least 20-30 hours of work each week or you will struggle to keep your home.

@Jaanbaz
The list you posted doesn't take into account the relative remuneration, and if you look into the link, it is mentioned to take the rankings with a grain of salt as voter count varies. I have worked in both countries for significant duration and still believe the same. May be I am wrong or bullshitting as you politely pointed out.

Well, he was asking, if it's notlike this everywhere. And for that the answer is no.

Its kind of different in every country depending on culture too. In Pakistan most women don't work, so this does not apply to them. The ones who work are either very poor, farmers or very very rich. The Middle class in Pakistan is useless.

Yes it is ! :agree:

Unless of course one wishes to live on the bare minimum that life has to offer !

I would post photos, but.......not really fond of taking pics of kids. But i can assure you, over here, with both parents working, after job is done on a sunny day, people go out with kids to the playground.

That said, ofcourse not everyone is like this.....trash people/parents are universal.
