Turkey, Malaysia, Qatar, Oman, Mali, Bahrain and other nations have non green passport, while many other Muslim nations have green passport.

Any particular reason to not retain a green color?

New Zealand has a weird black passport.
But that is because the black is their national color.
Even the Kiwi ODI cricket team and their commercial jetliners are black.
Well that is a national compulsion.

What about above nations?

So why are most of the OIC countries have green color, if it is not important?
There is not a single thing mentioned in Quran about green and that it is color of Muslims, even Masjid-e-Nabvi Dome color in 1800 and early 1900 was Blue in Color. So why you think green represent Muslims?

Green is a fav color of Prophet/Nabi.
And in Islam it is known to be in sync with nature.

Every country has chosen it's passport color(s) based on parliamentarian/ presidential choice, there isn't any international treaty that limits the spectrum of color permissible. However there isn't really a rule of thumb to why nations have certain colored passports. The common denominators of EU sharing Maroon, former Communist States having Red, Muslim-majority nations having Green are common but there are also exceptions to the rule.

Also realize each country has decided to use specific color passports for specific citizens. The normal citizen is given one color passport, with diplomatic corps another and "official" (State administration) a third color. Among other types of passports which are less common.

No brother that is a myth and nothing more. Did you know our Prophet wear white color a lot and his Turban color was mostly Black and green in color. So we can say Green,White and Black is his favorite color.

By Choice.

Green is a fav color of Prophet/Nabi.
And in Islam it is known to be in sync with nature.

It can be of some significance but NOT compulsory. I can not find a single reference from Religious book's or Quran or any Hadith which says "Use Green".

Case Closed.

By Choice.

Only green color by choice, leaving all other colors implies there got to be something more to it than simply a choice.
And then, think of a mathematical probability of 40+ nations opting for only green color just by choice.
