Why Russia's military adventures worry Europe (CNN)

I wonder why isn't anyone in Europe worried about annual NAZI, neo-NAZI parades that occur throughout Europe? Not to mention in Latvia? ( Latvian Nazi veterans join controversial annual march ) This tiny 'nazi-proud' country even goes as far as threatening Russia, a country that lost 20 million people fighting the NAZI's, and begins treating its ethnic Russian citizens as trash, stripping them of their rights, and destroying monuments.....

Of course there is a heavy anti-Russia 'propaganda' campaign going on, but still people shouldn't be so lazy to believe everything.
Weren't Russians friendly with Nazi Germany for awhile?
Some of the biggest Nazis in the world are Russians now. funny isn't it?

.
Nobody argues that the Soviet Union also had occupied many countries in Europe at the time. But in 1994, last military base in East Germany was closed .
But the United States do not hurry to end the era of occupation in Europe.
There is no occupation. Not in the last place because military occupation is effective provisional control of a certain ruling power over a territory which is not under the formal sovereignty of that entity, without the volition of the actual sovereign.

The presence of a (foreign) military base in a country does not denote the military occupation of that country. Otherwise, Russia would be presently occupying quite a number of sovereign states

And Russia seeks to expand that 'occupation' list.

You know all this very well but are being deliberately obtuse.

Do you seriously compare the US occupation of the richest countries in the world that could very well take care of themselves without the occupiers with the poor former Soviet republics that do not have neither the strength nor the money nor scientific abilities to defend their territory? The Central Asian countries have not yet been turned into another Somali or Afganistan only due to the presence of Russian troops.
You can call it occupation, if it is pleasure for you. But this does not mean that Europe is at this stage not so superior in military and political independence to the some coutries of Asia or Africa. Although in the economic and scientific terms - is superior.
Why? Because once great European Empires have turned into the occupied territories.

All what happens is hybrid warfare and is intending to force Russia to see its limits.
Message to Russia is : " We are able to strike you even in your own boarders ".

There is no occupation. You can repeat it all you like. But you're point it moot and the argument behind it flawed. End of discussion for me (I have better things to do). Have a nice day.
