Why Russia has no reason or right to complain about NATOs expansion.

not paying heed to wishes of his people, conflict was inevitable. People do not have unlimited patience and resources for staging protests.
I'm not a fan of the people/population because of their effects on everything around them that I often disagree with. This is where i can side and agree with elites. I tend to disagree strongly with who the bad parts of the people are.

President Yanukovych shot himself in the foot by declaring protests illegal. He was too blind to see the sheer scale of protests out there. Lack of common sense and understanding of Public sentiments led to his ouster.

Maiden protests were in many ways a show of defiance to the Ukrainian elites. Elites reaping all types of benefits at the expense of masses. This is not justice but oppression.

Do you recall the story of a rich queen witnessing mass protests and asking why this is the case? They are hungry so tell them to eat bread - costly bread....

President Yanukovych was in Russian pockets - his master. He did not believe in the strength of his people but Russian. Now his master is finding out what Ukrainian public is made up of.

.
Not necessarily but quite possible. It doesn't help your point. The history of judiciary is against the people and corruption and still is that way.
Corrupt countries have corrupt legal systems. We punish ministers for buying a piece of chocolat on a government credit card…

No, he was threatened with violence and armed people:

"Narrative: 21 Feb. 2014 - 1 March 2014

On 21 February an activist climbed onto the stage on Maidan Nezalezhnosti and warned that if President Yanukovych did not resign by 10:00 the next day, an armed coup would be staged. “Either he resigns, or we take him away!” the activist shouted into the crowd.86 "
All major politicians receive such threats daily.

If that was the only threat, he could have resigned. Once his theft of Billions of dollars were exposed, he was toast. He knew it, and needed to get the hell out if Dodge,

No, you have to stop. This is an article about the revolution and mentions it dozens of times. It talks about the meaning of the word, since you persist in ignoring the widespread reporting of it as revolution 3 times now I've pointed out articles.
View attachment 956664

That article says that the use of the word ”revolution” is disputed.
The only real change after Yanukovich agreed to new elections was that he did not work as a president for three months.

I didn't say that. I said it's loyal to the state itself and overall government. The Supreme Court also does not recognize revolution despite Founding Father commentary stating that's what they had in mind.

It is, it can be a failed revolution. But Ukraine did change the government.

Yanukovich had absence if leave for three months, everything back to normal after the May election.
Castro has a right to do it as a native Cuban, more than foreigners.
Bay of Pigs was other native Cubans.

That must have been voluntary or under threats. It wasn't legally necessary.

Do you agree the USA government is illegal then and can be revolted against legally?
The US Government is recognized as legal by the United Kingdom.
All states have ratified the constitution so no, it is not illegal.
Also do you believe the same for Germany who has a foreign illegal constitution?

Maybe via a threat.
Germany can change their constitution if they so want, so no.

.
That is simply some Pakistani madhats that cannot prove their claims which resorts to calling everyone smarter than them ”Indians”.

We don't want a Quran burner on this forum. Why do you come to this forum to convince us Pakistanis that Russia is evolving? Most members on this forum don't buy your onesided propaganda.

Corruption means more than money.

All major politicians receive such threats daily.
Not with a clear and present demonstrated danger that is outside and happening.

That article says that the use of the word ”revolution” is disputed.
It has a long discussion on why it's called a revolution. This is in addition to worldwide reporting of it as one.

It doesn't cite any law, whereas I did. The 1974 one I stated is a UN law. It wouldn't be necessary if it was already legal.

The US Government is recognized as legal by the United Kingdom.
That doesn't change the fact the revolution was illegal. If you go to the UK, they will tell you it wasn't.

All states have ratified the constitution so no, it is not illegal.
So if a revolution takes place from now anywhere, if they immediately ratify the constitution, then it's legal to you? I don't think you'll find yourself accepting that, in future.

Germany can change their constitution if they so want, so no.
They are brainwashed to believe the regime in control isn't a 5th column, so they can't change it because the masses never leave their brainwashed state.

When you type a post, be mindful of Forum Rules. You are allowed to criticize the West for its wrongdoings but you must have a principled stand in this matter. When you patronize one bad side while calling out on the other, your argument looses weight.

An intellectual argument is by default to counter the other.

No side is like a saint in global affairs. Russian Tsarists are responsible for zionist movement

Seriously? And where, pray tell, is your proof?

Zionism was born in Europe by a man named Theodore Herzl, an Austro-Hungarian. The largest supporter of Zionism was the Rothschild family, Mayer Amschel Rothschild was from Frankfurt, Germany. Abraham Benjamin James Rothschild from France, was the largest donor to the Zionist Movement.

and Soviet Union have a role in stirring Israeli - Islamic wars (read KGB history). Soviet Union also destabilized Afghanistan - a move that set the stage for emergence of non state actors and global terrorism.

You want to talk about history, okay then. On the 1st May 1960, the Soviet Union shot down a U-2 spy plane, flown out of Peshawar, Pakistan. This was the historical pretext of Western (American) presence in the region of Central Asia, via Pakistan.

Soviet Union also invaded and overthrew regimes in other countries.

Which countries? You mean like America did in Panama 1989, with Noriega? Or when America invaded Grenada in 1983? Or the American invasion of Haiti in 1994?

Your classic mistake is to equate the Soviet Union to the Russian Federation. The Soviet Union was created by the Atheist Bolshevik Jews, whereas the Russian Federation returned to its Orthodox Christian foundation.

Modern Russia is stealing lands of other countries.

Which lands? Where is your evidence?

Modern Russia also helped a tyrant in Syria.

Really? Was it so terrible? All because the West was checkmated in failing to destroy Syria as they did Libya and Iraq. You cannot be serious with your arguments here, as it seems as though you haven't been present on planet earth for the last 20 years.

Russian defeat in Ukraine is inevitable.

Donetsk, Lugansk, Zaparozhe, Kherson and Crimea are incorporated into the Russian Federation. Despite $130 billion in American military aid to Ukraine in the form of weapons, Ukraine has failed to retake any of those territories in the last 18 months. HIMARS are being shot down, Storm Shadows are being shot down, Leapord tanks are being destroyed, Challenger tanks are being destroyed. Tens of hundreds of Javelin and N-Law anti-tank missiles have been captured by the Russians.

Sure, defeat is inevitable!! If you say so!

This is a war of aggression and colonization. The Lord might not be pleased.

The Lord God has been witnessing Palestine, Afghanistan, Haiti, Grenada, Cuba, Libya, Venezuela, Afghanistan, Yemen, Yugoslavia, Syria, Bikini Islands, Panama, Pakistan, Vietnam, Kashmir, Congo, Serbia, Niger, Armenia, Burkina Faso, Sudan and Somalia. And guess what, HIS punishment is coming upon those who have perpetrated oppression on all those innocent people.

And please - Do not bring Holy Quran into this.

The Noble Qur'an is a Holy Book, only those who side with evil, do not want any mention of the TRUTH.

Allah Almighty have not claimed that Russia is the chosen one. This is Sheikh Hosein propaganda.

Seems that some have not or never will learn from history. Like the Jews who failed to identify Isa Ibn Marium Alaihi Salam as the Messiah. So to there are those who want to be spoon fed, direct words in big neon light pointing Russia is Rüm.

As for Imran Hosein, a man who has dedicated his entire life to cause of Islam. His children bare witness to it, his students bare witness to it, his peers bare witness to it. So neither you or anyone else can discredit a man who has sacrificed so much of his life, dedicated toward the word of Allah Subhanahu Wata'aalah. A man who left his well paid and high status job as a diplomat, to go live in Pakistan, to be the Principle of the Institute his teacher built and refused to be paid a salary.

Imran Hosein has analyzed Arab Spring before it happened. His analysis on the Western Financial Model, accurately identified it as Riba when most of the Ulema in the Islamic World were squabbling about Moon Sightings and the deobandi/brelvi/wahhabi nonsense. He is PhD in International Relations and Monetary Economics. He imparted advise to former Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Muhammad. He is recognized globally as an intellectual powerhouse.

You have ZERO clue about who Imran Hosein really is. Also, people who are sincere toward Allah Subhanahu Wata'aalah, dedicated to the Noble Qur'an and follow Nabi Muhammad Alaihi Salaat-u-Wassalam ... honestly do not give a damn about what anybody would call "propaganda."

And the less is said about morality and hypocrisy of Muslims in modern times, the better. Muslims are behaving like ancient Jews.

You really ought to go study the Noble Quran before making such amateur remarks. Jews not only rejected Isa Alaihi Salam, they made sure the Romans tried to crucify Him. The Jews supported the murder of Prophets Zechariah and Yahya Alaihi Salam, as order by the Wife of Herod.

Ever been to the Lourve? There sits a painting of Salome (wife of Jewish King Herod ll) holding the Head of John the Baptist (Yahya Alaihi Salam) on a platter. As history records, art portrays it, that the wife of King Herod ll, ordered the "Head of John the Baptist on a platter." Where the famous proverb originates from, head on a silver platter.

Buddy, I appreciate the time you took to respond to my post, but it is quite evident that you seriously lack knowledge in the study of history, the study of the Noble Qur'an and the ability to discern between information and the truth. For Truth always comes from Allah Subhanahu Wata'aalah and information has always historically been manipulated by corrupt men.

It has a long discussion on why it's called a revolution. This is in addition to worldwide reporting of it as one.
It did not have a revolutionary effect.
all the changes made were made by the parliament.

It doesn't cite any law, whereas I did. The 1974 one I stated is a UN law. It wouldn't be necessary if it was already legal.
No, but it proves that compensation is expected.
So does Nassers payment.
That doesn't change the fact the revolution was illegal. If you go to the UK, they will tell you it wasn't.
It was illegal, until it wasn”t. The UK signed a peace agreement with the US.
So if a revolution takes place from now anywhere, if they immediately ratify the constitution, then it's legal to you? I don't think you'll find yourself accepting that, in future.
Once all involved parties agree it is legal, it is legal.
They are brainwashed to believe the regime in control isn't a 5th column, so they can't change it because the masses never leave their brainwashed state.
That opinion does not matter

.
An intellectual argument is by default to counter the other.

From your previous post:

"Those who have a history of brutal colonization, enslavement and occupation of other people and their lands, cannot lecture others on what is legitimate and what is not."

Who does not fit the bill? Russians also have similar history:

This is how Empires expanded in ancient times. There was no such thing as an international body to keep things in check before the World Wars. Human rights movements are a recent phenomenon.

Russia also colonized ancient Alaska and parts of Canada, but sold these lands to US in 1867.

Russia did have colonies in the past. The Russian Empire had several colonies and territories, such as Alaska and parts of Canada, but these were sold to the United States in 1867. In more recent times, the Soviet Union also had a number of satellite states, but these were dissolved with the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991. - ChatGPT.

Those in the West - what these people were up to earlier times is not excused. But an objective take is to look at what these people have learned from their experiences and how they changed in time. How these people treat Muslims in their countries, if this is a criteria. It is important to look at both good and bad decisions and put things in context. This is the correct way to judge any side.

That might be the case but Zionist movement gained momentum due to mistreatment of Jews in Russia when Russian Tsarists were in power - related information including visual evidences in here. Zionists convinced the British to help create a Jewish state in the promised land in exchange for financial support as noted in here.

British Empire created modern Palestine by splitting Transjordan in 1922 as per the Balfour Declaration. The rationale behind this partition was to create a separate Jewish state - this move was approved by League of Nations and Transjordan leadership was onboard. This piece of land was a part of the Ottoman Empire in earlier times and its ownership shifted throughout history. This piece of land have historical, religious, and spiritual significance for Jews from the time of the Hebrew Conquest of ancient Palestine - then known as the Philistines having created a conglomeration of city-states in the region. Prophet Musa (Moses) AS secured freedom of Hebrews from the ancient Egyptian Empire with guidance of Allah Almighty. Hebrews initially settled in the Sinai Peninsula but Allah Almighty instructed these people to take their chances with the Philistines to ensure their survival - this was the promised land for Jews.

You want to talk about history, okay then. On the 1st May 1960, the Soviet Union shot down a U-2 spy plane, flown out of Peshawar, Pakistan. This was the historical pretext of Western (American) presence in the region of Central Asia, via Pakistan.
Pakistani founding fathers wanted to establish a democratic society and sought close ties with US. This was a natural tilt due to US being a democratic society.

The U-2 incident was controversial - accepted. But Pakistan was lacking in resources and options to be neutral like India at the time. Pakistan had border disputes with India and Afghanistan - both were close to Soviet Union. Pakistan was looking up to US and China to develop the country and Pakistani military capability. Pakistan also looked at Iran and saw a progressive country under Shah of Iran that was benefiting from American support. This was the situation.

This revelation does not address my point though - that Soviet Union was a troublemaker.

Soviet conflicts:

China (1924) - border dispute
Japan (1932 - 1941) - border dispute
Poland (1939) - invasion
Finland (1939 - 1940) - invasion
Estonia (1940) - invasion
Latvia (1940) - invasion
Lithuania (1940) - invasion
Romania (1940) - invasion
Vietnam (1946 - 1954) - intervention
Korean War (1950 - 1953) - intervention
Czechoslovakia (1968) - invasion
Ethopia (1974 - 1990) - intervention
Angola (1975 - 1991) - intervention
Afghanistan (1979 - 1989) - invasion

=> Where is that Russian moral high ground that you were appealing to?

Which lands? Where is your evidence?
Russian conflicts:

Georgia (1991 - 1993) - intervention
Moldova (1992) - intervention
First Chechen War (1994 - 1996) - preventing independence
Second Chechen War (1999 - 2009) - preventing independence
Georgia (2008) - invasion - Georgian lands annexed
Ukraine (2014) - invasion - Ukrainian lands annexed
Syria (2015 - present) - intervention
Central African Republic (2020 - present) - intervention
Ukraine (2022 - present) - invasion - attempt to annex more Ukrainian lands

Russian effort to prevent separatism in Chechnya is understandable - I get this. But the remainder is an attempt to do what Empires had been doing in ancient times.

=> Where is that Russian moral high ground that you were appealing to?

Really? Was it so terrible? All because the West was checkmated in failing to destroy Syria as they did Libya and Iraq. You cannot be serious with your arguments here, as it seems as though you haven't been present on planet earth for the last 20 years.
Right.

Assad regime thought that it was a good idea to export terrorism to Iraq when the latter was at its lowest point:

During the early stages of the U.S. occupation of Iraq, the Syrian regime enabled the transit of radical Sunni Islamist fighters to the country, where they targeted Americans and mostly Iranian-backed Shiites.

These terrorists came together to establish the notorious Al-Qaeda Network in Iraq (AQI), and this group sparked Shia - Sunni strife in Iraq with its misdeeds.

US-led forces fought and defeated AQI and other Iraqi insurgent groups and managed to stabilize Iraq in 2011. But this was a costly undertaking that claimed many lives in the process.

But Syrian terrorism export services continued. Former Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Ibadi - one of the leading figureheads in fight against ISIL in the Middle East - also pointed out that Syria was exporting terrorism to Iraq:

Our aim is to stop or to control regional conflicts. There is a conflict in the region, there is a huge conflict. You have Saudi Arabia on one side, probably eager to be a leader of the Islamic Sunni world. You have Iran on the other side who is eager to become [the leader of] the Shia Islamic world, or even beyond. You have Turkey, as well, competing for the leadership of the Muslim Sunni world. And here we are having conflict in Yemen, having conflict in Syria, and it’s been extended before to Iraq. In Iraq, we don’t want to be part of this conflict. We are looking after our own interest, and we think we are the victims of this conflict. What happened in Syria impacted us directly.

Look what happened with Daesh when they crossed the borders into Iraq. So, I think we are very eager to stop these regional conflicts. It’s tough. It happens to be we are here, Iraq is here. We cannot move it from the map. We are bordering Turkey, bordering Iran, bordering Saudi Arabia, bordering Jordan, Kuwait, Syria, of course. And we are here, we have to live with our neighbors…

Haider al-Abadi told Americans that the only way to save Iraq is by putting an end to "Syrian terrorism export services." Obama adminstration understood the message and worked with Haider al-Abadi in Iraq and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) group in Syria to defeat terrorists in the region - Operation Inherent Resolve.

Both USAF and US Navy could bomb ISIL positions across Iraq and Syria from virtually any direction. This was the only way to defeat ISIL movement because it was able to draw recruits from like all over the world and replenish its ranks otherwise. Have a look at the sheer amount of air strikes on ISIL positions:

Operation Inherent Resolve continued till 2022 in fact.

Syria has paid a hefty price due to decisions of Assad regime. Those who try to burn others, might get burned in return. This is KARMA.

Syrian Civil War broke out because Assad regime does not respect public sentiments - United Nations (UN) has also pointed out this fact. Millions of Syrians are displaced and many were forced to flee the country. US provided limited support to Syrian rebels but shifted its focus to dismantle ISIL movement in 2014 (Operation Inherent Resolve). Assad regime would not have lasted a month if US had directed its firepower towards it.

US and Russia reached an understanding on the matter of not toppling Assad regime because ISIL could take advantage of this development.

Let's have a look at the timeline of major developments in the region:

Obama administration withdraw NATO from Iraq = 2011
Syrian Civil War = 2011
US = Operation Inherent Resolve = to counter ISIL movement in Syria = 2014
Russia = Support Assad regime = to counter Syrian rebels = 2015
Israel = Target Iranian supplies to Hezbollah and Assad regime = 2017

Syria does not have good reputation even in the End Times Islamic eschatology - it will be under control of tyrants and will continue to burn.

Those who have a clear mind can see the obvious - can see through layers of propaganda and brainwashing.

Donetsk, Lugansk, Zaparozhe, Kherson and Crimea are incorporated into the Russian Federation. Despite $130 billion in American military aid to Ukraine in the form of weapons, Ukraine has failed to retake any of those territories in the last 18 months. To those who predicted collapse of Ukrainian forces, I pointed out that this is erroneous assumption on September 14, 2022 in here and on January 24, 2023 in here. But I had correctly predicted back in April 14, 2022 that Ukrainian forces will take their chances in Donbas and face heavy resistance in this region:

"It looks like Ukrainian forces will find it difficult to challenge Russian forces in Donbas because its terrain favors mechanized thrusts and Russians still have numbers, Air Power and standoff munitions to throw at Ukrainians for the needful. Ukrainian forces will take their chances nevertheless."

Many were making tall claims as usual, but I was on the mark. At present, Ukrainian forces are keeping Russian forces busy in Bakhmut (diversion) and using this tactic to push through Russian defenses in Zaporizhia oblast.

Have a look at Russian losses in Ukraine:

Tales of HIMARS and Storm Shadow being shot down are exaggerated and wrong. Russia is unable to prevent strikes in Crimea and even inside Russia. Ukrainian forces have scored hits on Russia S-400 systems, let alone others.

Tanks are easier to engage of-course. Ukrainian Air Force is not equipped to challenge Russian Air Force and provide CAS to Ukrainian formations - this is a weakness that will take time to address.

Nevertheless, Russia has bitten more than it could chew in Ukraine. Russians failed to understand that Joe Biden is a master player and he will checkmate hot headed idiots around the world.

Yes - all are innocent. Only Americans are corrupt in this world. The level of delusion is astounding.

So Russian aggression in Ukraine is a holy war to defeat those who are supposedly heretics? Did an angel reach out to bless Imam Putin in this endeavor?

Seriously, man.

The Noble Qur'an is a Holy Book, only those who side with evil, do not want any mention of the TRUTH.
How about you study it correctly?

Russia is NOT Rüm - Allah Almighty pointed out that the Romans (Byzantine Empire) will defeat Persians in war. Allah Almighty pointed out that this Empire might look strong to you but relatively stronger Empires have fallen in ancient times due to corruption. The original Roman Empire was much bigger and stronger than the Byzantine Empire for instance.

One of the reasons for Allah Almighty being displeased with ancient Jews is that they distorted scriptures to draw conclusions that suited their beliefs.

I do not have personal beef with Sheikh Hosein - I have watched his contents and I found some to be informative. But he seems to put Russians on a pedestal and twist revelations in the Holy Quran to create a narrative, which is unbecoming of a supposedly enlightened man. This is rather sad because his research on the wall of Gog and Magog was interesting.

I do not claim to be an Islamic scholar but I have studied Holy Quran to an extent - I am not as ignorant or Westernized as I might sound in my posts here on PDF.

You should check contents of Javed Ahmad Ghamidi. This man is a philosopher and Islamic scholar and he could get to the bottom of controversial issues and provide thought provoking answers.

Western Financial Model is not a religious undertaking. I have working experience in the banking sector. I can tell that the so-called Islamic Banking is not very Islamic to begin with. But what is the alternative that seems to work?

The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) should come up with an alternative financial system that works but.....

Here in Pakistan, people have adopted interest-free borrowing practice but it cannot meet all manner of needs and replace the banking system. Islamic Banking reforms can be possible at most.

Jewish history is very long and covers a large number of prophets. I am not making excuses for Jewish wrongdoings in ancient times or even in the present. I have studied Holy Quran and have general knowledge.

Islamic history is limited to the last prophet. Holy Prophet (PBUH) established an Islamic civilization that seemed to work but problems began to surface after his death.

Ruling elitism began to take hold and became a tradition that was followed in Islamic dynasties to come.

Now look around you - corruption and mischief everywhere. This is not to say that good people do not exist anymore - still do and in all countries. But those in power are too focused on worldly gains to settle conflicts and focus on spirituality.

Elitism = worldly gains.

You think I am corrupt? May Allah Almighty give you better sense. Ameen.

Do you recall the story of a rich queen witnessing mass protests and asking why this is the case? They are hungry so tell them to eat bread - costly bread....

its Qu'ils mangent de la brioche - let them eat cake. The queen in question was Queen Marie Antoinette , when she was told the peasants were starving and demanding bread.

It would have made more sense for swedes to be in charge and be doing that imo
The explosion of Swedish tanks in Ukraine helped us understand why Sweden ran to NATO for security. NATO's back up security for NATO members is a bluff, cause for one, NATO is low on ammunition, morale and money to fight a war. No wonder Turkey doesnt make any bold moves in the Black sea or against Russia- NATO's security "insurance" isnt really as good in reality as it sounds- fantasies.

.
A popular argument from Russian trolls is that NATO promised not to expand, and then expanded anyway, and therefore Russia has the right to invade Ukraine.

It is claimed that Gorbachev was promised this verbally in a meeting.
Since Gorbachev only had an international role until the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991 such a promise must have been made up until 1991.

The arguments against are:
In short, Russia accepted in writing the expansion of NATO here: https://www.nato.int/cps/su/natohq/official_texts_25468.htm

with the critical part being:

respect for sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of all states and their inherent right to choose the means to ensure their own security”

Former Warsaw Pact countries wanted to join NATO to avoid being invaded by Russia applied and the first invitation came in July 1997, that is after the Founding Act was signed.

The only deal on enlargement is the 1990 Treaty on the Final Settlement with Respect to Germany. where NATO troops are not to be based in former East Germany - until a new German government decides otherwise.

Before signing the Founding Act, Yeltsin wanted to have a promise of no-expansion from Bill Clinton, but this was denied. This is shown in the notes taken from the meeting, available in the Clinton Library.

Instead it was agreed to postpone discussions until after critical elections.

Putin and Russian Trolls are lying their teeth out, when they claim that NATO promised - no expansion.
DeNazification needs no justification and that is sufficient Suo Motto for action.

@LeGenD You do not want a list of Nato and Allied invasions posted here.

Also ussr hasn't run genocides unlike Anglosaxons and Turks (Nato) and Israels attempt today.

Syria's action was against an illegal invasion. Shilling for west isn't necessary on this site. The rest of the internet is already full of western propaganda.

You mean the explosion of a drone against the frontal armour without any noticeable effect on the tank…
That is all that was shown by Forbes.

Which country did Stalin run :enjoy:

With Western great tradition of lying (whether from media or governments), whatever you say...

I doubt anyone in this forum will believe whatever you said to badmouth Russia (whether it is true or not), including Western forumers. People in the West now seems to distrust anything from their governments.

People do not mind queuing up to emigrate to the West with their families. You trust the Westerners to entrust yourself and families to them
Try moving to Russia and set what kind of legal protections you enjoy.

In any case why is Ukraine part of the West ?
