Why people hate Islam/Muslims and how to counter it - Saudi Muslim Scholar Assim Al Hakeem

Look my dudes nobody wants a life full restrictions, its hard enough as it is. As long as you are a moral and a just person and have belief in God, that's all that is required. It's liberating to eat what you want and spend your day how you want. A glass of wine in moderation with a quality steak is one of lifes pleasures.

What needs to be understood is that life is full of restrictions anyway, regardless of religiosity.

The modern society has so many restrictions on what you should wear and do at work, school, dinner, for this or that occasion. What you should accept or not accept.

Its a myth that Islam is the only place that has restrictions. Every society has them. Heck there are so many social do/not do this or that, and so many laws that nobody really knows except lawyers, that even the bravest individual gets paralyzed.

Its also a myth muslims were always pious and more religious in the past than the present day. I argue its the opposite.

To a muslim, english grammar words like religion, God and worship dont really have the same meaning as non-muslims understand it. Humans are hard wired for religion and worship in one form or other.

For those who want to escape the Matrix, islam is the only solution. Why worship this or that mortal, celebrity, politician or this or that trend when they are no better , smarter or valuable than anyone else.

Islam is liberating. There is no one else above a muslim except his creator. That is the single most compelling reason why people flock to Islam. They are tired of mindless mass consumerism and hedonism.
