Why Pakistan won't give up Hafiz Saeed

Its stupid to assume that Pakistan will handover Hafiz to India. Will India ever extradite any of the men that Pakistan may want?

Any Pakistani govt. extraditing its own citizens to India will be finished.

Its high time Indian govt. authorizes RAW to eliminate not only Hafiz but also Dawood and company.

The author is putting to much capital on what kind of control Hafiz Saeed can exert. A live example played out was Lal Masjid. Saeed could not do ziltch. And what happened was bang in Punjab in Islamabad.

Pakistan has been historically foolish in thinking that raising such terrorists can bring some kind of safety to them. It actually does not. What the Pakistani Army did to their own NWFP by extremising the region during the Afgan War for their short term (& Dollar) gains has since come to haunt their own civilians. The patronage of LeJ is now reaping dead bodies of shias. The patronage of LeT is now giving them the nice crop of Taliban in South Punjab. Same goes with NA and what is now Gilgit Baltitstan.

This strategy to find badder guys to keep the bad guys quiet has made them pay dearly. However, like pain has incremental tolerance levels, so has extremism and hence we see thought processes like this. Else where else would you read a justification of terrorism like the one in the OpEd?

The priorities and threat perception is misplaced. Once US leaves then these various scary sounding names will not be a problem for Pakistan. The bigger problem will be that all of these terrorist organizations want Sharia! Go figure.

Benzir had to as RAW started Sindhudesh movement in Pakistan and both ISI and RAW chief met and agreed to stop supporting Khalistan and Sindhudesh, respectively.

She was made to do so, a RAW success. As for Indian Consulates, I think they are less attacked than the attacks within Pakistan.

This is all so much trash, if India are serious then they should showcase the Indian Justice system and try the Hafiz in absentia, give him the best defense you can and hold the trial -- Right now, not just Pakistan but no country will send any citizen to India to stand trial for a crime not committed in India -- What India must do is to connect the dots and do it in a legal case - then it can say things that are meaningful with regard to the Hafiz

Sindhudesh was never a big issue.. didnt have suppport anyways... There are more attacks coz we are in a state of war ... try more of tht who knows there might be more blasts on ur side.

Who gave you the idea that Indians want to go and fight in Balochistan? By the looks of it, if Balochs do it then it should be clearly sufficient.
