Why Pakistan may be a reluctant ally in Saudis' Yemen campaign

If nothing is being done than this is shame...
Some one has been misleading you about Saudi Arabia, Saudis are also fighting ISIS, but only at their borders.. If Iraq need Pakistan help to fight ISIS, i'll support it too.

Pak is cleaning its own home from dogs and it should be on priority..

Pakistan is never reluctant for defending GCC or fellow Muslim nation in trouble eg Bosnia, democracy demands every body on board as compared to the GCC governing rules now about it's our war battle, engagement or not its about principal democratic government president was being overthrown its redemption from us and GCC

Why Pak jump in Saudi and Iran war. Pak should take both for negotiation not take a side.
Because it is not possible - Pakistan is too dependent on Saudi Arabia to go against them or stay neutral. Pakistan is not trying to be any super power. It is just helping its ally like every country in the world does.

This is not a Saudi and Iran war, just a proxy war - the world is full of them. Iran doesn't openly support Houthis, but yes, the problem here is that supporting Saudi Arabia might mean going against Iran's interests, which supports the Houthi militia behind the scenes (it is quite likely that this is true. Also, Hezbollah has made its statement). But none of this is new. Pakistan has been supporting Saudi Arabia for a long time now.

What is also important to know is that this conflict is not sectarian, or at least not as sectarian as being claimed by some. Yemen is full of tribal conflicts, political conflicts and they have been fighting eachother for decades. We ('we' as in Pakistan as part of the Saudi-led coalition) are not fighting Shias, we are fighting rebels who happen to be Shias, just like we are fighting the Taliban who are terrorists that happen to be Sunnis.. The absolute worst thing we can do is take this as a sectarian action. It is purely political.

Pakistan is not doing anything wrong here: Iran does not claim open support for the Houthis, so there can not be any open or big repercussions and from an 'international community' perspective, supporting the legitimate Yemeni government is a good thing. The presence of a few troops and one squadron in Yemen does not reduce or otherwise damage Pakistan's defense capabilities, and they are perfectly capable of fighting the Taliban while supporting the Saudi coalition.

Pakistan took the least bad choice out of two bad choices, no point crying about it.

Pakistan must stay out of this conflict. We should call for a conference for all Middle Eastern states to discuss peaceful resolution of conflicts. Saudi have helped us but we are not going to fight a war for them.
