Young people may not know that YF-16 and YF-17 were competing in USAF LWF program and YF-16 won and became F-16. YF-17 turned to US Navy, after modification for aircraft carrier operation, it became FA-18.

In short YF-16 (F-16) and YF-17 (FA-18) are in same class despite difference in number of engines.

So if J10 is comparable to F-16, how is it not comparable to FA-18, just because FA-18 has two engines?

If any one talks about F-18 now, they are not talking about F-18C/D(F-18 developed from YF-17 Cobra). It's almost always about F-18E/F. Which is a major redesign/enlargement. It also featured new engine that improved thrust per engine from 79 to 98 kN. That's a massive improvement of 24%. Which almost puts it in the league of heavy fighters(but not quite), outclassing J-10.

Where did you get such error information of J-10? J-10 is not even a twin engine aircraft.

The only point I somewhat see with ur argument is the J-10 being less stealthy. But since the newer J-10s have lower radar cross section and some are even equipped with a sawtooth TVC engine, they are becoming more stealthy. Otherwise, all your points are false.
