Why Modi and Cohort are Silent

In the aftermath of mumbai incident, there were speculations that hindu terrorists are getting ready to run another pogrom in hindustan. Fortunately that has not happened which is a positive developement. What do you think can be the reasons for the Modi and his cohort to remain silent and not embark upon another one of their pogroms. Some of the plausible answers can be :-

a) Modi and right wing hindu fascists have realised that muslims are the equally patriotic first class citizens of hindustan and Modi is mulling an apology from muslims.

b) Due to the upcoming elections, right wing groups have gone underground for some time so as to avoid bad publicity in the wake of such pogroms and also to earn some sympathy from muslims.

c) Due to the international microscope on the developments in the region in the wake of mumbai incident, hindu terrorists have become conscious of earning world wide condemnation and hence refraining from such acts.

d) They are afraid of the long arm of the law and the neutral judiciary of India who might gather the courage to convict them afterall, even after a lapse of 7-8 years because justice delayed is not justice denied in the opinions of few hindustani secularists.

e) Modi has recently employed a muslim bodyguard from VIP security contingent in view of Sachar Commission report that not even a single muslim is employed in the VIP security due to intrinsic distrust of muslim. So he is afraid that he might meet the same fate as that of an ex PM of hindustan thus refraining him from doing such acts.

Gents, you can come up with your own reasons or you may select any one of the reasons given out in preceeding paragraphs. You may select a combination of reasons as well.

The reason why he is silent because he knows that the majority of Indians will support him in the up coming elections, these Facists groups follow the trend in how Hilter manipulated the system to gain power. It is my belief if the BJP comes into power there silent stance will change and will become aggressive, Hitler did this in 1933 he played to the masses as a figure who used democracy but as soon as he came to power he killed his emermies. Yeah!! Let us leave that to the public of India.
And please provide link to sources about Mein Kamph sales. ANyway the book is available in all libraries as a notable work in history by a dictator. I read some part of it(very few pages and then got bored).
But I din't get carried away by anything as if I hear some religious speech.
I don't think Indians are that racist, the most many common people can make is between black, white, Indian and chinese faces.
In India caste and religion is a more selling factor. Anyway India such a mass that you can't assign a race to a religion.
Only educated people would want to read Mein Kap and I dont think they can be misled easily in India.
You should understand that the world came away from the 2nd world war and concepts like secularism are popular now.

Election Time. Congress is also beating war drums against Pakitsan after one or two intervals just to keep the momentum going and avoid any pogrom similarly Modi and other hardline Hindu parties are doing the same to save their vote bank.

If election is such a big deal, then we can expect some antic from them because national security cry raised by them in the aftermath of mumbai did not win them elections in Delhi atleast.

IMO no body should rule out a limited Indo-Pak war before the the general elections in India. Anything can happen. Congress has to show the logical conclusion of Mumbai attacks, otherwise BJP will eat the congress votes and it will be a cake walk for BJP

dude if u remember cong won the delhi election which were held days after the mumbai attack . in reality people vote for local issue . not for issues like terrorism or war .

It is true but those State elections not general elections. There are many instances where there was cross voting that is people voting for one in state elections voting for someone else at the centre.

Well, war can never be ruled out but i'm guessing that there are still saner people in india who can think rationally and not allow their minds clouded by the perpetual hate mongering by right wing in collaboration with media, so war to me is a distant possibility. But tell me something, if BJP is so firm in its stance then why didn't they initiate war in 2002, when they brought the whole military to the borders for one complete year?????????? Now, can they ask congress to start a war ???? isn't congress astute enough to understand or are the people of hindustan aren't astute enough to understand what BJP is playing on?????????

By the way, coming back to the thread topic, what do you think about the reason mentioned for silence by Modi given as a, c, d and e.
