Sorry. India cannot allow killing of cows anymore. India allows its minorities more freedom than is available anywhere in the world for any other minorities. If they start dancing on our head because of that, it wont be allowed. Hindutva is the essence of Indian constitution as declared by the supreme court. Hindutva demands respect for cows.
So there you go. You agree India is no longer (was it ever really?) a secular country.
And by the way, just take a look at ANY developed nation. They offer complete freedom to all minorities, except offcourse they can't make hindus happy by stupidly banning beef for the entire nation.
Likewise,Secularism is upheld only when Hindus follow it,How do you expect them to be Secular, when their sentiments and Interests are not taken care of?
Don't make it an argument of this religion vs that religion.
There should be complete freedom for everyone. You don't like to eat cow(you're hindu), fine don't eat it. You don't like alcohol (you're muslim), fine don't consume it. But don't force everyone else to follow your religion.
The cow is your mata, not a christian's or a muslim's or an athiest's...
