Im only interested in our history. I dont care about a culture that had zero influence on my ancestors.

Well you should be happy. Rome got a hit but it did not fall. It was able to get out of all this chaos. Remember...its the Eternal City

But there is one thing i find deeply sad and one of our worst parts. That we betrayed Constantinopolis. That was unforgiveable. That pathetic conflict between west and east roman church...

Brother, the weak must always die out. it is the law of nature. Eastern Roman Empire was a failure towards the end. No sympathy from me.

The western roman empire transformed and used a religion as shield to withstand the heat of transformation. After that it reemerged as papal state and conquered the americas and at the end the world.
