Why italian harsh laws prevented islamist attacks on our soil

Fascism per say(Italian ideea) didn't call on mass murder of Jews.....German interpretation of it,Nazism (national socialism) did.

shhhhh dont bring up facts here. He said himself its his forum. He doesnt need facts to get support.

lol they can cut off oil and italy would collapse

In fact, this is one of the problems of today's world.....Europe needs oil but oil, unfortunately is located where it is located so interference is a must, like it or not.We would all be much happy if atleast 5% of world's oil reserves would be in Switzerland, contracts and understanding would make it so much easier.

I don't like general terms like East, West, Western Europe, South Asia, etc because it does a disservice to the countries and cultures within those regions that excelled and inflates those that didn't perform. The modern world is mostly a product of the British. To say Western Europe is to equate Belgium's influence with the British.

you come from a british colony. The UK had zero influence on germany, france, italy or spain. The main force behind the modern world is the roman empire because it created the foundation.

True to an extent but I believe it all started with the Spanish and their explorations and in the picture of it all the Italian renaissance also played a major part.

The Brits spearheaded the industrial revolution.

praise Tesla and Elon Musk. When you see how fast electric mobility advanced im pretty sure in 15-20 years from now the middle east will fall bavk completly on the level it had 100 years ago.

:D

I completely forgot about Norway!

libya is a failed state. We can take as much off their offshore oil rigs as we want. We live in 21st century. Oil is cheap. Venezuela would kiss our feet if we buy their oil.

Except you can't. Italy is not America you have minimal force projection and an occupation of Libya would enrage muslims. Terrorism would rip your country apart.

Now we're in the what was first, the chicken or the egg but the UK was the engine behind the modern industrial revolution. We must give Caesar what Caesar is owned.

The oil rigs are in the sea infront libya, we already take oil there without any libyan agreement. Its done my ENI. What enrages muslims is rather irrelevant since we deport evry single muslim who even makes the slightest strange remark in FB.

You're as delusional as some nationalist Hindus who think since India they are responsible invented zero computer, the internet, and mathematics.

You do realize that im not just talking about roman empire but also renaissance which happened to be in italy? Leonardo da Vinci? Galileo Galile? Bernini? Rings a bell?

@mike2000 is back have you heard this one? they spearheaded us..........lol
your as dumb as a greek accountant.

To me French if have faced attacks then they themselves provided grounds for such acts. However more or less countries like Italy and Britain are still friendly to Muslims. To be honest if some one if opposes the Govt regulations/policies he/she should be free to do so as EU countries claim to be. However if some one if wants to start a Holly war then he should leave that country. Muslims have many fronts where they can fight in the name of Islam i.e Palestine and Afghanistan.

Being a Muslim I honestly think and I have read that Jihad can be declared only by Muslim Govt and if you are in Non Muslim country you can start jihad if stopped to say your prayers or to fulfill religious duties.

To be honest UK and Italy are still considered heaven for Pakistanis. But it is duty of EU authorities to check why Muslims born in those countries are becoming violent certainly there are some question marks there. As one Pakistani student fro Wazirabad area lost his life in police custody in Germany due to scuffle started after some people gave improper remarks abt Islam/Religious personalities.

Maybe he shouldn't have got into the scuffle. Maybe he shouldn't have been offended so quickly. The trouble with south Asians is that they get too offended too quickly. Their gods will not leave their heavenly abode if somebody badmouths them on earth, and their followers need not prove their faith by scuffling on their behalf.

The romans are the mix of etruskian and greek colonies. The development of concrete and extreme architecture happened in rome. greeks didnt make concrete. As a italian im the product of etruskian and greek ancestors.

1500 years ago the capital of the world was Byzanz. The capital of the eastern roman empire. If you seek to gain support you should check your facts before making claims that contradict your point. You should also check facism. Facism means support for a leader system and nothing else.

That is precisely the point. Rome had no science, no reasoning that was not adapted from the Greeks. The Etruscan influence that you talk about repeatedly has left nothing behind to demonstrate that it was as great an influence on science and on reasoning as the Greeks.

1500 years ago, in the 4th century, Byzantium, in Asia Minor, may have been a surviving metropolis of Hellenistic civilisation; it had nothing to do with Europe. Why don't you mention Rome? The last Roman Emperor died in 476; 1500 years from 1976. After that, Rome was a shrinking city, ruled by a succession of barbarians. Even your vaunted Byzantium, capital of the eastern Roman empire, spoke, wrote and read Greek, not Latin. So where was Rome and Italy in all that?

As for it being the capital of the world, its world stopped with Persia, and several Byzantine emperors died in Persian captivity. 1500 years ago, Persia was quite capable of looking after hersr elf, and gave as good as she got. But she was not the shining glory of the eastern world. 1500 years ago, India's civilisation was at a peak. The Guptas ruled, and a civilisation flourished that was far superior to the degraded slum that Rome had begun. You talked of science and reasoning. Both these were far more developed in India; the plays and the literature produced then would beggar anything produced in Europe until centuries later.

Maybe it is you who should take a little time off and check your history. 1500 years ago was not the right moment to mention.

shhhhh dont bring up facts here. He said himself its his forum. He doesnt need facts to get support.

Yes, don't bring up facts. It might puncture your claims. National Socialism was inspired by Mussolini's Fascism; in the classifications used in Political Science, National Socialism is considered a variation of Fascism.

you come from a british colony. The UK had zero influence on germany, france, italy or spain. The main force behind the modern world is the roman empire because it created the foundation.

We don't, we come from a civilisation that was conquered by the British and made into a colony. Look up how your mentors, the Greeks, defined colony.

you come from a british colony. The UK had zero influence on germany, france, italy or spain. The main force behind the modern world is the roman empire because it created the foundation.

In case you hadn't noticed, when you jumped into your 35 second study of history before banging it out over here, there was no difference between any of the countries in the world in, say, the 16th century. In fact, most of the wealth belonged to two countries very far from Europe, and most of the time spent by Europeans was in trying to get to these countries directly, to get access to their produce. In 200 years, the situation had changed; the Europeans were superior. The difference was the Industrial Revolution. Now spare another 35 seconds and check where the industrial revolution started. Italy, sadly, had nothing much to do with it.

Even your vaunted Byzantium, capital of the eastern Roman empire, spoke, wrote and read Greek, not Latin. So where was Rome and Italy in all that?

The Greek language took over from Latin many centuries after the fall of the Western Roman Empire and the Eastern Empire considered itself(and rightfully ) the succesor of its Western counterpart.

1500 years ago, in the 4th century, Byzantium, in Asia Minor, may have been a surviving metropolis of Hellenistic civilisation

It was actually the end of the 5th century and it was a survivor and legitimate heir of the Roman Empire not Hellenistic culture and they viewd themselves as such

As for it being the capital of the world, its world stopped with Persia, and several Byzantine emperors died in Persian captivity.

Well, the Romans sacked the Persian capital many times,no Persian army ever sacked a Roman capital, not even an Eastern capital one and while Persia fell under muslim rule,Eastern Rome lived for another 800 years. While Eastern Rome lives today in Russia,Eastern Europe, while Western Rome lives in Western Europe,US,Australia....Persia is no more,it died when an Arab culture was forced upon them....it died in the 7th century, they can't call themselves Persians, they're people subjugated by Arabs following a culture originated from the Arabian peninsula.

You have a completely Eurocentric point of view and i bet you dont know a single Arab or Chinese or Indian scientist

That begs the question, considering how much of Rome's legacy was borrowed from the Greeks. You forget also that by the time the influence of Christianity was growing. Rome was one of five Patriarchates; Constantinople, Antioch, Jerusalem and Alexandria were all in the east. And this was the position from long before the fall of Rome, from 381, the 4th century.

It was actually the end of the 5th century and it was a survivor and legitimate heir of the Roman Empire not Hellenistic culture and they viewd themselves as such

What was the end of the 5th century? The fall of Rome? That was 476, so our historical genius' 1500 years ago would not fit; that puts us in 516, some forty years later, or is it that that doesn't count? Most of the cultural values were taken from the Hellenistic culture, including the philosophy and whatever rudiments of science had emerged; what did the two centuries of Roman rule contribute to these civilisation? Certainly they considered themselves successors of their western forebears, but then, so did the Holy Roman Empire. How seriously do you want to take either claim?

Well, the Romans sacked the Persian capital many times,no Persian army ever sacked a Roman capital, not even an Eastern capital one and while Persia fell under muslim rule,Eastern Rome lived for another 800 years. While Eastern Rome lives today in Russia,Eastern Europe, while Western Rome lives in Western Europe,US,Australia....Persia is no more

A meaningless metric. Ctesiphon was sacked by Byzantine soldiers thrice; Byzantium was never sacked until the Latins came to Asia. Now suppose you remind us how many Persian emperors were killed by Byzantium, and which Persian Emperor served as a footstool on whose back his Byzantine rival mounted his horse? Leaving aside Crassus, Gordian, Valerian and Julian died at the hands of their rivals. As for Persia falling under Arab rule, she regained independence very quickly, Constantinople, once she fell, remained captive for ever.

I couldn't help laughing at your assertion that Persia is no more. You might like to remember that Dacia does not exist either.
