What would be a 'pious, true Muslim'?

Everyone claims to be one, including those who are dismembering Pakistan, while others say that the next chap is not a 'true Muslim' wherever there is some omission.

It is like going to the bazaar and asking a vegetable seller, 'Are these vegetables fresh?'.

Obviously, he will say it is so, while his competitor which say otherwise of the first seller's products compared to his!!

Its obvious which vegetables are fresh and which are not... similarly the teachings of Islam are known to many and followed by many... Our Indian members here would understand the violence in the name of religion associated with Islam by studying about Al Khawarij

The caste system is more of a social evil than religious.

Unlike how you have your hundreds of sects that all call each other kaffirs and are killing each other in their mosques.

BTW, only one of the sects is supposed to save you from eternal hellfire, are you sure you are safe.

For us Muslims the only perfect Muslim is our prophet Mohammed PBUH and rest of the followers like us have flaws so we are no where close to being perfect Muslim neither Allah demands every single of us to be perfect. Though what we need to do is avoid what is forbidden and enjoy what is allowed.
In case of Indian Muslims their may be "peaceful" Muslims like Dr Zakir Naik who preach Islam and a very influential figure around the Muslim World but at the same time he is a hypocrite being proud of India. First of All India as a state is not fallowing Islam at all and Allah clearly says in Quran that all matters should be judged according to what Allah has revealed. Its beyond our comprehension level how much he has displeased Allah by saying that and many other things because of the position he is in. If a common Indian Muslim bragged about being proud of his country then it would not have matter that much since he has no influence over alot of people but Zakir Naik does and he has responsibility to full fill. Prophet Mohammed PBUH also said that their will be a time when Scholars will be hypocrite and even said Mullahs teachers rulers will be among the very first people to go to hell for the disinfo they have spread. But we as Muslims can not judge who goes to hell who doesnt even if they are non Muslims since only Allah knows best.

Waste of time... not only know the guy inside out also challenged him in Public half a dozen times but he refused to engage... I challenged him thru the Harun Yahya platform... Dawkins made fun of fishhooks in his books but ran away like a coward from public debate on evolution...

Are you not aware of the sectarian killings right within Pakistan? One sect blowing mosques full of worshipers belonging to the others? The LEJs, the Talibans, The Sipahs?

Or the Iranian treatment of Sunnis?

The Saudi treatment of Shia?

The looong history of this sectarian warfare?

I have not read this. I don't believe this if some book mentions it too.

Our religion is not dogmatic like Islam. We don't have to believe what one person claimed for all times to come.

Hinduism being a 5000 year old religion, there have been corruptions that have crept in and there have been various reforms. It is a continuing cycle.

Unlike yours "final and perfect" religion. See what it became not within these 1400 years but within a few years!
