Why is the regime so scared of Cyrus the great

What's leading here ? I am going by what is written in the article.

Most Indians take pride in Mughal history except for the violent invasions. We have the Taj Mahal, Red fort etc. which we proudly own, we have roads named after the great Mughal emperors in Delhi.
So proud you rename them..

Maybe the regime apologists and their intelligence apparatus on this forum care to express their views. Give us material points of discussion instead of the same BS "propaganda from monarchy and MEK".

Security forces in Iran have closed major routes leading to historic Pasargadae, the site of Cyrus the Great’s tomb in anticipation of spontaneous gatherings of people to mark the annual commemoration of the first king of ancient Persian Empire.

In recent years as thousands of people have tried to visit the ancient tomb, security forces have closed roads and established a strong presence to deter people.

In 2016, a large crowd spontaneously congregated around the mausoleum and chanted slogans in support of monarchy and national values versus religious government. In subsequent years authorities tried to prevent a gathering.

In 2016, protesters reportedly chanted, "Iran is our homeland; Cyrus is our father," and “Clerical rule is synonymous with only tyranny, only war,” and “Freedom of thought cannot take place with beards,” an explicit reference to the theocratic rulers currently in power.

Videos published on social media show security forces are closing roads leading to Pasargadae this year also. October 29 is regarded as the day when Cyrus the great conquered Babylon in 539 BC, establishing the Achaemenid Empire and is marked as Cyrus the Great Day.

In 2017, a member of parliament from the region urged authorities to mark the Cyrus Day in official ceremonies, boosting tourism instead of preventing it.

But senior clerics and particularly allies of the Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei oppose paying any homage to Iran’s kings and its pre-Islamic history.

Regarding the OP, Cyrus was truly great. Hope his ghost scares the mullahs off forever. But I do agree with someone else who noted that such change should come from within Iran if the people want this, not from those paid hacks sitting in California.

I dont think its Cyrus thats the problem, indeed I think the article makes it pretty clear what the problem is ie:
a large crowd spontaneously congregated around the mausoleum and chanted slogans in support of monarchy and national values
The problem that would obviously worry the government is the site/date becoming a rallying point for pahlaviites and persian nationalists.

Isn't he (Cyrus) also your king?!

Maybe according to land, warfare and borders but he will never be a true Pakistani. He expanded, conquered and subdued not to richen us or to enlighten us from barbarism but instead for the glory of his own people. As the Iranian civilisation triumphed over its own greatness what about us, the frontiers people, the Pakistanis? How can we claim and celebrate a person who came from a foreign land, invaded our own, then went back again? Where is the honour in this for us?

After centuries of constant annexation and occupation, just to have our own state still standing in itself is a victory. However we cannot just survive and let ourselves be overtaken and surpassed by those around us. Instead of being known as the terrorists, oppressed and poor we need to become the leaders, statesmen and thinkers. The old empires and conquests have ended but a new age is upon us. That of espionage, political intrigue and proxies. No fragility or cowardliness can be tolerated from the most powerful politician to the poorest pauper. To come together as a nation, country, people is hard but to find someone worthy enough to lead them is harder. And we have done neither, this is our problem.

Now we are in desperate need of our own Cyrus to help us traverse this seemingly impossible landscape, and I am hoping he will come soon...

Honestly I just wanted to provoke you guys a little bit to show everyone why CIA and it's goons are so worried about nationalism in Iran, the junction of races!

what's the best divide and rule plan in a region (and country), full of different races?
what's the main source of Iran's influence in the majority Muslim region?

P.S
Even the existence of this Cyrus thing is in question, let alone the condition of his people!

According to the Last Shah, he was undone by the CIA via an Islamist-Communist combo ops with a "two-weeks" notice....

If Faravaharism rises in the Middle East, the zionist West would say any political party in the world the zionists don't approve of is 'Faravaharism'.

They did this to Fascism. Fascism is completely different than what is claimed. Fascism is basically anti-masonic, nationalistic, pro-worker, a combination of state and religion and a return to the Roman Empire. If the political movement is not these, it is most likely Nazi. Nazis are into racial hatred, persecution of minorities, and nationalism. Completely different than Fascism, which is basically Italian Nationalism and a rejection of masonic and zionist brand of 'Liberal' Zionist Nazism found in most of the West.
