how strange it is that pak army/rangers doesn't operate against the mexican drug cartel like gangsters and let them thrive in the most economic financial part of karachi

Maybe you could restore peace like this to some extent if PPP and MQM settle their territories along with Pakhtuns in Karachi. The Lyari situation must be resolved too and Aman commitee must be 'reviewed'. I am more concerned about TTP's possible traces in Karachi. No matter how much MQM,PPP or any other party fights with another,this is our city and we will manage it somehow by some political 'jugaarein' or settlement,but if TTP gets sucessful in settling up it's base in Karachi,then it will be become another waziristan. Your regime must understand it,if your paramilitary or armed forces aren't operating then it means obviously that your regime is interfering,sadly

Rangers personnel arrested 20 suspects, including Lyari gang war elements and politically-affiliated target killers and extortionists, on Sunday.

According to a Rangers spokesperson, the arrests were made during targeted raids in Baldia Sector 9, Lyari, Scout Colony, Sherpao Basti, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Ranchore Lines, Yousaf Afrani Goth, Hasanabad, Mominabad, Mujahid Colony and in the Rahimdad Hotel area.

ok let me summarise you few things about the operation and the participation of pak army/rangers

1) rangers has been controlled directly from the centre and not sindh govt

2) rangers an year ago gave statements like lyari is the most peaceful area of karachi and not a no go area

3) rangers takes salary from sindh govt

4) rangers is thus only doing namak halali and its not a matter abt sindh govt authorising them to do operation in karachi

5) pervez kyani himself came to karachi to look after what the rangers was doing and expressed satisfaction over it

6) rangers/pak army gave statements like 90,000 containers werestolen just for doing namak halali, later he backed off from his claim

7) the parliament headed by ch nisar approved anti terror law in while un presented authority has been given to rangers including extra judicial killings, rangers has also been powers for interrogations and detaining any suspect for 90 days

8) rangers also claimed the weapons were being smuggled from sea routes which was retraced after words, there was no mention of weapon traffickeing through land route, again doing namak halali for sindh govt, and nothing got to do with not given authority

My context was different.
You really think that your central regime is controlling rangers?I am seeing PPP influencing in decision making,because a specific group is being targetted in the name of operations.The ops aren't transparent-If you think that provincial government is sitting idle and only your central regime is behind such biases then you need to reconsider it again.

Rangers are not free to do anything. They are there on the request of Sindh Govt which is unfortunately PPP's. PML-N don't want PPP to create nuisance for them in Punjab & Federal so they are supporting PPP...also PML-N is a historical hater of MQM. The whole operation thing is PML-N & PPP gath jorr plan even i believe ANP & PTI has nothing to do with it. Rangers, Police are just following orders.
