Why is My Hijab Your Problem?

Apparently, in Turkey (and in France), you cannot enter an educational institution while wearing a head scarf. The State is forcing children to chose between their two basic rights: religion and education.
I thought you were talking about govs such as in Pakistan, Afghanistan etc.

AS per Turkey and France, i personally think it is totally wrong if they ban Scarf, i wont have a problem if they had banned full Niqab or whatever as they can be security risk as well. On the other hand, this is only happening in educational places, nobody is banned from wearing hijab in other places. The type of france and turkey with the exception of Niqab ban, is a million times better than the model of religious type gov/entities/foreces etc as it is/was present in Pakistan, Afgh, Iran etc. Turkey/France etc might not be perfect, but they are way better than the other examples.

Marriage is a contract between equals. At the very least therefore, if I see a Hijabi walking down the main street with her husband, I would expect the husband not to be checking out everything in swishing skirts passing by.

That's a separate issue and I agree with you.

Here, we are talking about a woman who wants to wear the hijab herself. Whether the reason is modesty, comfort, laziness, identity, whatever.

It is a religious obligation to have religious police. That's why we are the only country that truly applies Sharia. They need to improve their standards, however.

No it is not that is just the idea that they are selling you. And about "Shariah" as a Fellow Saudi citizen don't I have the right not to be governed by it if I do so choose?? Since Prophet's time Islamic laws were only upheld to the ones who wanted upheld on them. I don't want to be part of it.

And don't tell me like the rest of the religious scum "Get out of the country and find another one" Because I am have even more right in this country than any of you.

Thank you for agreeing. However, internationally, only the women make the news with regard to follow the ancient laws.

How do you know she wants to wear it? Do you stop each Hijabi and ask her? In front of her family or in private?

Say she does not want to wear it. And you help her in removing it. Do you follow her home to ensure she is ok? For how long?

@Turkey has been changed, however, at a cost to the secular foundations of Turkey. Now religious seminaries, funded by you know who.... are propping up.... all over Turkey....., you ask why? I'll tell you why.... because.... @supressed want to get even with the @opressors by eating away at the foundations.........now............. imagine Turkey in 20 years.....

Turkey seems to have a mature and vibrant democratic process, where people are wary of religious excesses, so I feel confident it would find a balance.

My PoV, never ever mix religion with politics, EVER!

Secular France has more official holidays on Christian holy days than Pakistan does for Muslim days. Politicians in Australia and many Western countries wish people Merry Christmas, go to Church openly and make no attempt to hide their religion. Texas courtrooms display the Ten Commandments.

The important thing is to make sure any religious influence does not infringe on the rights of the minority.

Well you see it is all about supply and demand. You should know better, since apparantly you are a "successful" businessman.

Agree. It's democracy in action.

The caution, and the State's responsibility, is to make sure democracy doesn't turn into mob rule and to protect the rights of every citizen, including minorities. This includes Muslims who do not wish to wear the hijab, etc.

I agree that the West has a better record on human rights. My point was that, in our zeal to curb the mullahs' excesses, we should be cautious not to enact laws on the other extreme.

Hijab is the order of ALLAH and his RASOOL SAW every women has to wear it and as Islamic States its governments duty to enforce them but now I will ask moderators to end this discussion because these topics are used only for trolling purposes

Determining motive is notoriously difficult. Unless we have reason to suspect otherwise -- and there are usually other indications of an oppressive marriage -- all we can do it presume innocent until proven guilty.

No it is not. Your prophet spoke of the jilbab or bilbab or something. A loose head covering that covers the chest, which desert tribes wore a long time before him. Btw, I know what PBUH stands for. But I see this SAW often as well. What does that stand for please?

Yes system of kufr always looks pleasing to the eyes of those who have become morally corrupt and want live their life which is worst than Animals

That's an epic cop out.

Mr it is first read what HAZRAT MUHAMMAD SAW Jilbab is covering on the head just like Ghugant Sir first know the order of ISLAM than come here and talk and their was no concept of Hijab in Arabia before Islam it is Islam which made it compulsory so first know about Islam before talking pure rubbish

Okay bring me proof that anywhere during the entire Islamic first periods was Hijab Enforced. Just give me one example. And I will let it go. That's one question at your level.

The second question is: Say it WAS really an order of God and Rasool why do you have to enforce it on everybody?? (Doubting you will understand this one though).

To thos ewho thinks Hijab should be made compulsory in Islamic states...................Dont cry when Hijab is banned in Western countries

to those who think Hijab should be Choice...........................better arm youself..........a man with a machete is more effective than 10 people with placards
