According to this world bank report, China spends 1.9%, India at 2.5% and Pakistan 3.6% of their respective GDP's on military expenditure while there have been reports that China's defense budget is much higher in reality than what is being stated. OP data uses two different references. If we use standard total spending and GDP.... India spends around 2.5% of GDP on defense and around 4% on education.
