I would encourage people to dig up an old (from 2006, I think) scholarly masterpiece (The Israel Lobby) by two American professors Walt and Mearsheimer. They systematically expose the deep tentacles of a traitorous, poisonous Lobby whose power is second only to AARP, and who have driven the American foreign policy to benefit Israel at the expense of the America's own interests. The Lobby can make most Congressmen lose their seat and can tarnish most people's image/career.

There are very few political leaders, such as Bernie Sanders, who are secure themselves to cross Israeli interests without paying a huge political price. Indeed, there have been cases where politicians either lost their seats or were not elected because of the $$ poured in to their opponents when they tried to raise their head against Israel.
