Why is Asad Umar not accepting Energy ministry offered to him by Imran Khan

At this stage, how do we know for sure that AU's ouster was purely based on his incompetence or is there something else to the story than actually meets the eye?

At this stage, how do we know for sure that AU's ouster was purely based on his incompetence or is there something else to the story than actually meets the eye?

I would err on the side of "something else.....", purely because of the timing of his dismissal. Umar had just come back to Pak after successfully negotiating a deal with IMF and was about to give finishing touches to a budget that would have been inline with IMF's recommendations. So why was he fired at this crucial juncture?


Also its not like Asad Umar was not performing. Current Account deficit was SHARPLY dropping. Remittances were registering double digit growth. Exports were also expected to rise soon. Heck even the ruppee had stabilized after finding its true value of 140-142. Also using cricketing parlance, this decision of IK is like him picking Saeed Anwar as his opener for a 5 match ODI series against India. In the first match Anwar gets a 40 and then IK drops him for the rest of 4 matches because he didn't get a hundred. He then proceeds to include some luloo in his place who has already two failed attempts as opener (finance minister)...

In my opinion Asad was doing a good job but when offered a new position by IK, Asad must have felt offended & therefore decided to do what he thought was right

Thank God he didn't accept.he is rude and I have seen his attitude in parliament.he is someone who thinks of himself as genius and highly professional.good decision to sack him.
