Why Indian people never tip??

Agreed. Its a cultural thing.

Personally, I will tip only at places like clubs where the waiters, gate men are old faces.

And of course the house help.

But its plain stupid to tip at restaurants where the taxes and service charges over and above what you eat go well into 4 figures.

There's no shame in any job as long as you have one. You would be surprised how much certain servers make in the US.

If there were service charge then you dont need to tip neither a waiter expect you to. The service charges are added only when people usually don't tip. They were made to tip.

we are wealthy enough to eat n spoil ourselves, but dont have the heart n graciousness to acknowledge n reward the hard work done by the waiter. also, culturaly speaking, indians are socially wired to think waiters are lowly ppl n dont "deserve" tips.

Is he not getting paid by his employer?

Are you not paying his employer, and and thereby paying him?

I will pay if I like the person and think he or she needs it.
