Why India Wants to ‘Impose’ a Military Partnership on Bangladesh?

How can hassina be pro India when they buy so many Chinese arms and received a mega investment from China?

Isn't that self contradicting?

No. Indian Arms are crap and only sold to nations when they are gifted by India. Missile systems like Brahmos are entirely Russian with only thing Indian there is the funding.

I think Bangladesh should have Military Ties with Pakistan
Pakistan doesn't keep Hasina at power but India does. Logically Bangladesh and Pakistan should have a military partnership to deter India. Pakistan gets to make India invest high amount of assets in the east whereas Bangladesh gets to counter India at the Bay of Bengal and north.

Also India and Myanmar are Good friends. China I don't think would support Bangladesh in case of conflict with Myanmar

Nope. China will not support Bangladesh at all and that's why Bangladesh should try to improve relations with Turkey. Turkish weapons have shown great effect in actual war theatre and I don't see Turkey give us downgraded crap either.

I didnt know I talked about water dispute between CN and IND. Anyway, my answer would be that not providing hydrological data is a real threat for lower riparian states which are prone to flooding.
The main data is the flow of water from China to India in the latter's Arunachal where the Brahmaputra fell about 8 km. Why India is fussing over precipitation and others when the main information is at hand with India?

Please note one point. China cannot just hold almost all the rainy season water in its own land. It will have to allow the flow to Arunachal. Can someone do against a steep 8 km water flow even if he wishes?
So, the issue remains that India wants to take this water to its west instead of to BD. This is also against the nature. I wonder, how India can do it.

Must you be so critical of them? They have their hands tied by those in power and the chain of command.
No Indian or Pakistani would ever disrespect their armed forces like this, they'd be lynched.

They are not useless, they're rendered inert and unassuming by successive governments. Not to mention the fact that the army knows that if they intervene, sanctions will be slapped on Bangladesh and the economy will get hammered, there by making it all the more easier for our adversaries to take the country apart.

Simply bashing the military will not help, lets all stick to constructive criticism.
The guy simply hates Bangladesh, ignore him. People like him are not the solution to the problem but the cause as they only whine about everything wrong

You can take a dig at India without taking a dig at us

I was referring to the fact that the BD army has been politically mismanaged. I'm not one to make the mistake of our eastern neighbours and underestimate an enemy that looks weak on paper.

We are both strategic allies.. which I have been telling everyone here....

BANGLADESH IS OUR ISRAEL.....

Brahmos is a 50.5-49.5 joint venture between India’s DRDO and Russia’s NPO Mashinostroyenia. So both party contributed in development of the missile. Currently it has 65% Indian component including indigenous seeker, propulsion system, airframe, power supply, fuel management system, inertial navigation system, fire control system etc.

Probably a hardcore BNP supporter but most definitely an anti-BAL. BNP-BAL whoever is not in power always drag military in politics. It's in their genes.

I just hope the next leader can bring greater economic prosperity.
Without fanning the flames of Islamic extremism or fundamentalism.

We won't be alive to see it happening. To achieve that you gotta kill every corrupted scum and criminal in the country, reform the education system by a great margin to produce more skilled man-power and start suppressing these ignorant assholes instead of journalist.

The DNA of this assumed partnership sits in the controversial "Indo-Bangladesh friendship treaty of 1974" which had not been 'officially' renewed following the expiration in 1999. Please read the clauses of that treaty. In both cases , BAL is the ruling party.

if army that time put bnp in power thn surely army would have become very nationalistic or apple of their eye:lol::lol:,that same democratic party decommissioned BNS BB(one of the finest that time) or cancelled the deal of 16/32 migs just because they were purchased by hasina.
