The angst that has now left generations is getting only worse.

In schools here partition is taught/shown in a very neutral matter and in a neutral tone. Like shit happens it happened. Many of us look at it from the perspective of 'Damn the country was split". Very often, all the angst is directed towards the British. May be there is a general dislike with respect to Pakistan. But not so much rabid hate.

This changes somewhat once we are exposed to Pakistanis either online or through media. Else its mostly a case of benign ignorance.
