Why India has never seen a military dictatorship.

India has no need of Army in the country against Pakistan because her politician know that,
If the Indian army conquer Pakistan it will be the position of before 1947, UNITED INDIA.
If the Pak Army conquer India, once again it will be the position of before the age of 1947. UNITED INDIA.
Yes India has only need of Army in the case of enmity of China, which was created by Indian Army in 1962 for their services. So Indian politicians are not coming in the blackmailing of Indian Army.
Yes Pakistan has need of the protection from India.

The main reason is the republic of India is too diverse and decentralized even the military for any coup to succeed or even attempted

Second is it along with Ceylon adopted a strong Westminister type of governance after independence that essentially gave the bureaucracy prominence over the military, So the Military is essentially subordinate to civilian authority

Third a strong constitution, Where again just like in Ceylon the Commander in Chief is a civilian i.e.. The President

And Bigger countries with strong governance rarely do see coups d'état, The US, Russia, China, India, Britain, France etc..

Also if you take history most countries that coup's do happen ,Tend to be homogeneous nations

Do you think Pakistan, Bangladesh, Argentina, Brazil, Burma, Egypt, Ethiopia, France, Greece, Nigeria, Thailand, Turkey, Ukraine all are underdeveloped, small, homogeneous & centralized countries?

Because they lack the b@lls of steel to pull of such daring and risky moves. indian army isn't known to take initiative. It is slow and lacks any military tradition because india was conquered and ruled by other superior maritial global civilizations of Islam and West.

Not like that. India is huge. Military in itself has 5 commands. Its impossible to take head of every command in coup plans. Secondly, Delhi is not India. Capturing PM alone in a coup has no value. Until unless, you capture 30 states Chief Ministers and their ministers and put them under house arrests. Arresting someone like Jaya, Mamata, Chandra Babu Naidu will bring lots of people into streets, uncontrollable mobs. How many people can Army kill?

Killing people will fail the coup itself. India is huge. Its a advantage. The only ever possibility of India being in a dictatorship was the presence of Nethaji Subash Chandra Bose. Indian people would never think twice of installing him as their king, even 10 years of Nehru rule.

Not to forget they have to capture Rahul Baba who holds great RESPECT in every Indian's heart. Capturing him will bring every Indian on streets & army will face unseen opposition which will fail the coup.
