I disagree, quarrel would not end.
India currently occupies South Tibet which India calls Arunachal Pradesh. This was demarcated by the British Empire but China never agreed to it. Dalai Lama would eventually pass but this territorial issue is likely to stay for much longer.
China is engaging in massive dam projects upstream of Brahmaputra River. In the case of India pursuing a path that is harmful to China but short of war, water will be a tool. The dams can exacerbate wet and dry seasons. Eventually the water can be totally diverted to Northern and Western China under the Red Flag River project.
