51 billions out of 275 billion , that's a big portion. When China's economy was India's size, the military was basically in stagnation, no new equipments for decades.

Don't be stupid, we should encourage them to spend that way. Just pressurize them once a while, they will react by importing more and more. These people are reactive only.

The more they spend on arms, the more kids will starve and get stunted, it's a different type of warfare, silently killing them without using bullets.

BENGALURU: Union Minister of Defence, Finance and Corporate Affairs Arun Jaitley on Saturday said that India "needs to put all its national resources behind defence preparedness".

"We need to put our entire national resources behind our defence preparedness," Jaitley said while launching the production of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) designed Light Combat Helicopter (LCH) on Saturday evening here.
