We only want Kashmir becuase people of Kashmir want to move freely in their valley. This is an humantairan issue.

The Answer to the main question asked in the thread is Water

J&K is home to glaciers which Supply water to Ganges,Yamuna and Indus
These 3 rivers provide water to 600 Million people
You control their tap, you can change the future
Do you know, Pakistani Rulers made the biggest Mistake when they signed the Indus water treaty.
India is Building 30 Dams in Kashmir,
As per the deal, we only have to release a fixed quantity of water to Pakistan, even though Pakistan's population has grown by 5 times since the deal was signed.
When we did not have Dams, most of water of Indus went to Pakistan, now we have Dams, and we have reduced the flow of water,
Soon Pakistan will only get water, which it was entitled to as per the treaty.
Now that figure was fine till pakistan's population was 160 Million. Not anymore

Kashmir has deep roots for Hindus, Sufis and Shias as well as Sikhs and Buddhist I can not see it being handed to Pakistanis who have no respect for other faiths.

Pakistan can not even protect its own Hazara and Shia community how will it let Kashmir be free from wahabi's?
