Why INDIA can't be like CHINA!

.
If they keep their democratic institutions intact, reverse the religious radicalism seeping into their society

They'll not only match but will start exceeding China in the next 50-100 years
One man show of Xi and one child policy ruined a great country

I know they'll keep their democracy intact as they have no other choice to survive as a country
But religious radicalism would only increase from this point on as they're slowly institutionalizing it

I'm a believer in India as long as they keep their head in the game instead of messing around

China under CCP is kaput.
Why would India try to become that.

Indians have survived and are beginning to thrive with the diversity and in spite of the terrorism and disturbances caused by and via its neighbors.

China, for its own sake, should realize soon the disastrous price in terms of cultural destruction and human right deprivation they have paid for a temporary semblance of prosperity which as they are finding is, is fleeting.

Pakistan and Bangladesh can do a lot better than China as long as they don't let this fleeting glimpse of prosperity in China lead them astray; instead they should further develop from their own ancestral values and culture that are oriented in faith, family and fraternity

India, which "takes all the good things and ignores the bad things", will not be a leader and will find it difficult to be friendly to China [Fu Qianshao]

Thanks for your kind words

There is one thing, that many miss with India.

Most of this religious jingoism, is a more politics driven and sometimes reactionary given the society's diversity in so many ways. There are also sad events, where lives are lost as well due to kinetic action by groups.

However things get checked by the same politics

BJP will in power, as long as they make sure there are no big ticket corruption items like in Congress time and the country moves along at whatever growth rate they can get. The moment either of these factors change, see how fast Modi or whoever is in power get their butts kicked. The same people, who are shouting Modi from rooftops will turn against BJP in a flash if things on corruption and growth change.

I also have belief in youth of today, irrespective of their background. I am seeing people from all sections, get educated and go for whatever jobs they can find. If we keep social media weirdness aside, kids at least have clarity that they need to grow and make money. As long as it goes into proper fields, this is good. We don't have to be like China, growing at beak neck pace. This tortoise growth year on year, I will take it happily.

Given the local politics however, mouth frothing cannot be avoided. So it's what it is

The one child policy is partly responsible for China's success. Is it going to be responsible for its decline ? Time will tell

Demographics is always an issue, but policy decisions is what brings about success or failure at a faster rate.
