Neither is Iran, Israel or Saudi Arabia an enemy of Pakistan. Each has their own interest and deftly looks after them. Also their peoples are VERY patriotic about their nations. The BIGGEST problem is Pakistan, the lack of patriotism of our citizens and our weak identity politics. For some reason (although this is now changing), Pakistan mainly looks at the world through a Pan-Islamic "Ummah" perspective. That is a problems because ALL other Muslim countries bar Turkey don't. They all look after their NATIONAL interests ONLY. We should too. The Ummah led thinking also causes our citizens to become unpatriotic religious nut jobs who want to die for the Palestinians but are more than happy to ignore the suffering of fellow Pakistani Muslims. Until Pakistan becomes an ultra-nationalistic country, we will always suffer.

Palestine National cause is also a nationalistic cause, not so an Islamic cause.

We have no love of Palestinian leadership (PA) which backstabbed Pakistan many times. They are the biggest traitors to Muslims, and especially their own people.

Muslims the world over are upset with Israel for usurping our holy lands, massacring Muslims, and forbidding us general access/control to our holy sites.

Kashmir cause also is an Islamic cause, as the nationalistic Kashmiris are not pro-Pakistani in the least. Read some of the statements of Mirwaiz Omar Farooq on Pakistan, that is the kind of people ethnic nationalism creates. However the general Kashmiri is pro-Pakistan based on a shared Islamic identity foremost, and linguistic, ethnic commonality afterwards.

I am not saying for us to reject ethnic identity, as we Pakistanis are a civilization represented by our geography and history. We are a qaum in our own right with a unique heritage, and Islam is a big part of that.

Quaid e Azam would constantly talk about our ancestors and our predecessors, who were they but the Islamic dynasties which ruled over our lands and had a lasting effect on our nation.

We need to elucidate to our population what exactly is a proper form of the practice of Islam and the duties, responsibilities of a citizen of a nation to the motherland.

It is unfortunate and we are living in era of fitna where we are ideologically divided , ethnically and politically divided . but as i said before try to be compassionate as much as you can but our offence should be in self defence not based on hate or reaction.
