according to DessertFox UN it says they are dark. So in Bollywood they don't encourage dark so there will not be any dalit actors I would think. maybe one of our Indian brothers can enlighten us

I guess its a bit like racism you can change the law but not peoples mindset the only solution is education in my view but this problem won't just go away overnight it needs to be worked on.

Mate I have to respect you. You are one of the few Indian members that acknowledges there is a problem and a change is needed. I agree hopefully education will help in eradicating this menace that India suffers

The issue is this dalits whether in Pakistan or India are seen as 3rd class subjects who do the jobs we won't like cleaning the **** out of peoples houses and because they do 'dirty' work as seen by others they are discriminated.

Guys I have to go now. I cant say i didn't know at all about dalit problem I had heard about it. But after learning more about it today I think this is the biggest problem in the Asian sub continent. I feel sad and disgusted it matters not to me that it is mainly and Indian problem it must be eradicated and tomorrow we will discuss it more and look to assist in eradication of this problem from our neighbourhood

wanna solve the dalit and muslim problem. easy:
1. ban all the babas and religious dummies who pop up in india here and there everyday, these r the people who actually start the division.
2. take literacy rates up from 78 to 100%. boost higher education with more unis.
3. harder laws against those who discriminate them. strict action on a few and many will learn a lesson.
4. dalits have shown us that if they get educated in unis like iit and nit they can make millions with their talent. so govt should launch a program for dalits to support their start up buisness especially for backward ppl. investment should be promoted by private companies. this has been very successfull in canada.

Lol... Heard of any civilian buying a house next to COAS house? Come to Pakistan I'll show you civilians and military officers living together in same area like in Okara cantt, Lahore cant, Wahh cantt, Malir cantt etc.. Heard about DHA (defence housing authority) this area is primarily for rert. army officers but you'll find there more civilians and far less army officers..

What I bring it home to you that you are not incredible you are not shiny and you think this is India bashing? Its the truth. sure , you were just born yesterday and you had no clue about the word "discrimination" untill you read this article. mate, i have read you posts begging china to attack india on other threads and most of you posts reek of your hatred towards Indians in general.

Every one who is born in India, who has ever gone to school, who ever was on any end of the spectrum of reservation for a college seat, knows very well what kind of discrimination is done in the society of India.

We also know what kind of life is led by majority of Indians irrespective of cast creed or religion in rural india. Although this might come as shock to most of pakistanis here which I am sure have nothing less than Ferrari's on all of their streets, India(1947) wasa very poor country with a burgening population, low education and a bankrupt country in most of its 60 years of Independence.In last two decades we have miraculously transformed our economy and a moing ahead towards being a vibrant country which makes our neighbors take extreme objections to words "Incredeble or shining India", because they do not want to believe that a country which was bankrupt in 1991 is seeked by every developed nation to be thier partner today.

We have our issues, like every other country does (maybe except pakistan!) we are striving to solve them, but what I find amusing is the amount of hatred we see from a few individuals at just some liitle marketing words which glorify tourism in India....

But the irony is, in India there are laws against any form of discrimination.....
Ofcourse, laws cannot guarantee that a particular crime won't occur, but they can obvioulsy act as a deterrent....

Whereas in Pakistan, discrimination against minority groups happen everyday....and they have no-where to go for justice....
By killing a "kafir" people gets jannath........
